الإجــــابــــــــــات

وُلــِـــدَ الــدكـــتـــور يــوســـُـــف فــى مـــديـــنــــة الأســــكـــنــدريــــة – مـــصـــر .    

1) Professor Yusuf was born in the city of Alexandria, Egypt.

عـَـمِـل الدكـتـور يـوسـف فىي جامعــة الـقـاهـرة , و كان آخـر عـمـلٍ له  هــو رئـيـــس قــســـم الـلـغــة العــربــيــة 

2) He worked at Cairo University and was the Head of the Arabic Language Department.

سـافــر الــدكــتــور يـوســف إلـي دولــة الــكــــويــت و قــضــى هــُــنــاك ثــلات ســـنــوات .  

3) He traveled to Kuwait and stayed there for three years.

كــان نــشــاطــُــه فـى الــصـُّــحـُــف و الـمـَــجــَـلات يــدور حــولَ الــنــقـــد الأدبــىّ , و الإبـــداعِ الـشــِــعـــرىّ , و الــدِّراســـات الأدبـــيـــة و الإســــلامــــيــــــة .  

4) His activity in papers and magazines was about literary criticism, Poetical creativity and Islamic and literary studies.

ديـــوانــىّ الــشـِــعـــر الـلـذيــْــنِ كــتــبــهــُــمــَــا هــُــمــا : “نـــداءُ الــقــِـــمــمْ” , و “مــَــواقــِـــع الــنـــُّـــجــُــــوم” .  

5) The two poetry volumes that he wrote are:

 “The Peaks’ Call” and “The Stars’ Positions”.

ألــَّـــف الــدكـــتـــُـــور يــوســف الــعــديـــد مــن الــكــُـــتـــُـــب مــِــنـــهــــا : ” الــشــعــــراءُ الــصـــعـــالــيـــك فــي الــعــصـــر الــجــاهــلـــي” , و “الــحــُـــبُّ الــمـــِــثــالـــيُّ عــنــد الـــعـــَــــرب” .   

6) Professor Yusuf wrote many books; among them are:

     “Trivial Poets in the Pre-Islamic Era” and “The Ideal Love at the Arabs”.

مــُـــرادف الـفـعــل “يــَــدور” هــو “يــَــحـــُـــوم” و الإســم مـنــهُ هو “دَوَرَان” .  

7) The synonym of the verb “يــدور” is “يــحـــُـــوم” and the noun is “دَوَرَان”.

مــُــرادِف كـلـمــة “مــَــوَاقــِـــع” هــو كــلــمـــة “أمــَـــاكــِـــن” .  

8 ) The synonym of the word ” مـــَـــوَاقــــِـــع” is “أمــَـــاكــِـــن” .

مــُــضــَـــاد كـلـمــة “حـَــيــَــاة” هو كـلـمـة “مــَـــوتْ” .  

9) The opposite of the word “حـَـــيـَــاة” is “مــَــوتْ” .

مــُــفـــرَد كـلـمــة”قـــِـــمــَــمْ” هو كـلـمــة “قــِــمــَّـــة”

و مــُــفــرَد كـلـمــة “الآداب” هــو كـلـمــة “الأدب” .  

10) The singular of the words “قـــِـــمــَــمْ” is “قــِـــمــَّـــة”

and the singular of the word “الآداب” is “الأدب” .

جـَـمـْــع كـلـمــة “حــىّ” هــو كـلـمــة “أحــيــَــاء”

و جــمــع كـلمــة “شــِــــعــــْـــر” هــو كـلـمــة “أشــْــعــَـــارْ” .  

11) The plural of the word “حــىّ” is “أحــْــيــَـــاء”

and the plural of the word “شــِــــعــــْـــر “ is “أشــْـــعــَـــارْ”.

الـمــُــضــَــارِع مـِــن الـفـِــعــْــل “كــَــتـــَــــبَ”  هــو “يــَــكــْـــتـــُــــبْ” .       

12) The present tense of the verb “كــَــتـــَــــبَ” is “يــَـــكـــْـــتــــُـــبْ”.

الــمـَــاضــِـــى مـِــنَ الـْــفــِــعــْـــلِ “يـَــدور” هــُــو الــفــِــعــْــل “دَارَ” .  

13) The past tense of the verb “يـــدور” is “دَارَ” .

الأمــْــرُ مــِــنَ الـفــِــعــْـــل “حــَـــصــُـــلَ” هــو الــفــِــعـــْـــل “اِحــْـــصــُـــلْ” .  

14) The imperative form of the verb “حــَـــصــُـــلَ” is “اِحــْـــصــُـــلْ”.

تــرجــَـــمــة الــجــُــمــْـــلــَــة إلـى الـلــُّــغــَـةِ الإنــْــجــلــِـــيــزيـــة :  

15) Translation of the sentence into English:

“ و بــالإضــافـــة إلــى نــشـــاطـــه الأكــاديــمـــي ، كــان لــه  نــشـــاطــاً آخـــر فــي الــصـــُّــحــُـــف والــمـَـــجــَـــلات الــمــصــريـــة والــعـــربــيــــة و كــان هــــذا الــنــشـــاط يـــَـــدورُ حـــول الــنـــقـــد الأدبـــي والإبــــْــــداع الــشـــعــــري والــدراســــات الأدبـــيـــــة والإســـلامـــيـــة .”

“And in addition to his academic activity, he had another kind of activity in Egyptian and Arabic papers and magazines. This activity was orbited around literary criticism, Poetical creativity and literary and Islamic studies.”

        وُلـــِـــدَ الــدكــتـــــور يـــوســــف عــبـــد الــقــــادر خــلــيــــف فــى عـــام 1922 فــي حــي رأس الــتــيـــن بـمــديــنــة الإســكــنــدريــة – مــصــــر . حــَـــصــُــــلَ عــلــى الــلــيــســـانــــس من قسم اللغة العربية عام 1944 والــمــاجــســتــيــــر عام 1950 و والــدكـــتـــوراه عام 1956 مـِـــن كــُــلــيــــة الآداب – جــامـعــــة الــقـــاهـــِــــرة . تــدرّجَ فــي وظــائــِــــف أعــضـــاء هــيــئـــةِ الــتـــدريــــس بــكــلــيـــة الآداب – جــامــعــــة الــقـــاهـــِـــرة حــتـــى صـــارَ أســتــــاذاً ثـــُــمَّ رئــيــســــاً لـِــقـِــســــم اللغة العربية . فــي عــام 1968 ســـافـــرَ لــلــعــمــــلِ فــى جــامــعـــة الــكـــويـــت لـِـمــُــدة ثـــلاث ســنـــوات . كــان عــضــواً فــى لــجــنــة الــدراســـات الأدبــيــة بــالــمــجــلــس الأعــلــــى لــلــثــقــــافـــة , وعــضـــواً فــى لــجــنــة الــجـــوائــِـــز الــتــشــجــيـــعــيـــة لــلــشــِـــعـــر فــى نــفــــس الــمــجــلـــس , كــمــا كــان عــُــضـــواً فــى مــجـــلـــس أمــنـــاءِ مــُـــؤســســـة جــائــزة عــبـــدالــعـــزيـــز ســُـــعـــُـــود الــبــابــطـــيــن لــلإبـــــداع الــشـِـــعـــري .

        و بــالإضــافـــة إلــى نــشـــاطـــه الأكــاديــمـــي ، كــان لــه نــشـــاطــاً آخـــر فــي الــصـــُّــحــُـــف والــمـَـــجــَـــلات الــمــصــريـــة والــعـــربــيــــة و كــان هــــذا الــنــشـــاط يـــَـــدورُ حـــول الــنـــقـــد الأدبـــي والإبــــْــــداع الــشـــعــــري والــدراســــات الأدبـــيـــــة والإســـلامـــيـــة . حـــصــلَ عــلــى جــائـــزة الــمــلــك فــيــصـــل الــعــالــمـــيــــة فــى عـــام 1989 , وجــائـــزة الــبـــحـــث الــعــلـــمــــي مــن جــامــعــــة الــقـــاهــــرة 1989  وجـــائـــزة الــدولـــة الـــتـــقــــديــــريــــة فـــي الآداب 1993 و تــوفـــي عـــام 1994 .

     Yesterday, Egypt celebrated the 31st. Sinai Liberation Day عـــيــد تــحــــريـــر ســـيــنــــاء commemorating the withdrawal إنـــســـحـــــاب of the Israeli troops from Taba طــابـــا ; the last occupied part of the Sinai Peninsula  شـــبـه جــزيـــرة ســـيــنــــاء. The day is a national holiday أجـــازة قـــومـــيــة in Egypt and is celebrated by all people and the government الـــحـــكــومـــة in different ways. People of all ages enjoyed themselves and their families in the parks or took a walk by the  Nile banks. In Sinai itself the Ministry of Higher Education وزارة الــتـــعــلــيـــم الــعـــالــى in cooperation with the North Sinai government held many celebratory activities in Al-Arish  الــعـــريــــش; capital of the governorate. 

      On this occasion, I am going to present a short beautiful poem to one of the Egypt’s contemporary مــُــعـــاصــِـــر poets; Yusuf Khaleef يـُـــوسـُــف خــلـــيــــف . Khaleef worked as a professor of the Arabic Language literature الأدب الـعـــربــى for a long time both in Egypt and other Arab countries. The poem is dedicated to Sinai and reflects its status مــكـــانـــة in every Egyptian person’s heart.

ســَــــيــنـــَــاءُ ..أرضُ الــفـــَــــيــْـــروز

Sinai; Land of Turquoise

 سَــــــيـنـــاءُ عــــَــــــروسٌ بــَــــدويــّــــــــة          سـَــــيــنــــاءُ خـــُـــيـــُـــــولٌ عــَـــربـــيــّــــة

Sinai is a  Bedouin pride … Sinai;  Arabian horses   

ســَــــيــنــاءُ حـــَـــمــَّــــامـَـــاتٌ بــــيــــــضٌ          و ســَــنـــَـــابــلُ قــَــمــْـــــحٍ ذهـــــبــيـــــّــــة

Sinai; white bathrooms … And golden wheat spikes

و جــَـــداوِلُ مـِــن عـِـــطـــــــرٍ رَقـــــــــراقٍ           فَـــــَــــــــوقَ ضــــِـــفــــَـــــافٍ ورديــــّــــــة

And streams of running perfume … Above rosy banks

سـَــيــنــَــاءُ مــَـــنـــَــاجــِـــمُ فــَـــــيـــــــرُوز          و كـــُــــنـــُــــوزُ عـــَـــقـــيـــقٍ سِــحــريــّـــة

Sinai: turquoise mines … And magical garnet treasures

سـَـــيــنــاءُ تــَــمــيـمـَـــة وادِى الـــنــيــــــلِ           تــَـــعـــُــــودُ إِلــى صـــَـــــدرِ الـــــــــــــوَادِى

Sinai: the amulet of the Nile Valley … Returns to the Valley’s arms

سـَــيــنــاءُ تــَــعــُــودُ وَ سـَــاقـِــى الـــنــُّــورِ          يــَـــصــُـــــبُّ كـــُـــــــؤوسَ الأضـــْـــــــــواءِ

Sinai returns and the light bartender … Pours glasses of light

و حــَـــمــَـــامٌ أبــيــــضُ  مــِــثــلَ الــنـــُّـــورِ          يــُـــرَفــْـــرِفُ بــَـــيـــْــــنَ الأَحـــْــــيـــَــــــاءِ

And white pigeons, light-like … Flies amongst the alive

و غــُــصـُـــونٌ مـِـنْ شـَــجـَـــرِ الـزَّيـْــتــُــونِ          تـــُــغـــطــــِّـــى وَجـــْــــهَ الــصـَّـــحــَــــــراءِ

And branches of olive trees … Covers the face of the desert

و طــُـــيــُـــورٌ خــُـــضـــْـــرٌ فَــوقَ الأُفـــُـــقِ          تـــُـــحــْـــيـــِـــى ذِكــْــــرَى الـشــُّــهــَــــــداءِ

And green birds in on the horizon … Commemorate the martyrs

و غـِـــنــَــاءٌ فــَـــوقَ شـِــــفــَـــاهِ الــحــُــــورِ          يــُـــحــَـــيــِّـــى أَغـــْـــلــــَــى الأَســْــمــَـــاءِ

And songs on the lips of angels … greeting the dearest of all names.
