Have you Heard About the Latest Film Festival in Lebanon? (2) Posted by on Oct 26, 2014 in Arabic Language, Culture

Marhaba! I am confident you all enjoyed learning about the latest film festival in Tyre, a beautiful coastal city in Southern Lebanon. I think it’s really important to have some venues for cultural expression given all the craziness and turmoil that’s been happening in Lebanon, Syria, and other states in the Middle East. People need such exhibits to vent off and be able to enjoy something positive that will most certainly boost their spirits and morale. Below you will find the answers to the questions from the previous post, and a recent YouTube video depicting Tyre’s beautiful sites, commonplaces, ruins, and beaches. Hope you enjoy it, and that someday you will have the chance to visit in person!

Salam everyone! Born as an American to two originally Arab parents, I have been raised and have spent most of my life in Beirut, Lebanon. I have lived my good times and my bad times in Beirut. I was but a young child when I had to learn to share my toys and food with others as we hid from bombs and fighting during the Lebanese Civil War. I feel my connection to Arabic as both a language and culture is severing and so it is with you, my readers and fellow Arabic lovers, and through you that I wish to reestablish this connection by creating one for you.
