اسم المدينة التى يتحدث عنها الفيديو هـو “طرابلس” ، و تقع فى شمال لبنان.      

1) The city the video is talking about is called “Tripoli” and it is located in the north of Lebanon.

نعم، توجد مدينة عربية أخرى بنفس الاسم و هى “طرابلس” عاصمة “ليبيا”.

2) Yes, there is another Arab city with the name Tripoli”; the capital of “Libya”.

لقب هذه المدينة هو “عاصمة شمال لبنان”، و اشتهرت هذه المدينة بأطباقها الشعبية المميزة.

3) The city’s nickname is the “Capital of North Lebanon” and it is famous for its special traditional dishes.

يأتى السياح إلى هذه المدينة  العاصمة بيروت و من خارج لبنان.  

4) Tourists to the city come from Beirut and from abroad.

الوجبة الأساسية لأهالى المدينة منذ آلاف السنين هى طبق الفول مع الحمص.  

5) The main fast meal for the people of the city is the “Fool and Hummus” dish.

يهدف مهرجان “فود تريل” إلى زيارة العديد من أشهر و أهم أماكن الطهى فى طرابلس ، إضافة إلى زيارة مواقع أثرية و أخرى تاريخية.

الأهمية التاريخية للمدينة تتمثل فى كثرة الاثار و الماقع التاريخية بها و التى تعكس قدم المدينة التى استقبلت الفاتحين من الغرب و الشرق.  

7) The historical importance of the city is represented by the abundance of its antiquities and historical sites that reflect the long history of the city which received conquerors from both the west and the east.   

قــلَّ عدد السياح الأجانب مؤخراً إلى لبنان بسبب المشاكل السياسية الكثيرة.   

8) The number of foreign tourists to Lebanon went down lately because of the political problems.

  • أزِقــَّــة (N. C. Pl.) = طــُــرقــات = شــوارع = alleys = streets = roads (زُقــَــاق Sing.)

“In the past, the city received the conquerors from the west and the east, and tourists will know about the culture and the habits of this city that is full of life in its streets and narrow alleys that carry the smell of history.”
