Listening Comprehension Quiz

Today we will do some listening comprehension. We will watch and listen to today’s temperatures for some cities of Egypt and answer some comprehension questions. The video is from the Egyptian TV’s program ‘ Good Morning Egypt صـبـاح الـخـيــر يـا مـصـر ‘, Channel One.
Watch the following video and then answer the questions:
شــَــاهــِـــد الــفــيــديـــو الــتـــالــى ثــُــم أجـــِـــبْ عــن الأســــئـلــة
1) مــَــا هــُــو اِســم أول مــديــنـــة ؟ و مــَــا هــِــي درجــة الــحـــرارة بــهــا ؟
What is the name of the first city? and what is its temperature?
2) مـَــا اِســم أول مـديـنـــة تــقــع عـلـى سـَـاحــِــل الـبـحــر الـمـُـتــوســط و مـَـا درجــة حـرارتــهـــا ؟

What is the temperature of Alexandria? And where is it located on the map of Egypt?
4) مـَـا اِسـم الـمـديـنـة الـتـي درجـة حـرارتـهــا 42 و تـقـع فـي جـنـوب مـصـر بـالـقــُـرب مـن بـُـحـيـرة ؟
What is the name of the city that has a temperature of 42 and is located in the south of Egypt near a lake?
5) مـَـا اِسـم الـمـديـنــة الـتـي تـقـع فـوق (شـَـمـَـال) مـديـنــة الأقـصـر ؟ و مـَـا درجـة حـرارتـهـا ؟
What is the name of the city that lies above (north of) Luxor? And what is its temperature?
6) مـَـا هـي درجــة الـحـرارة فـي مـديـنــة الـغـردقــة ؟ و مـَـا مـَـوقـِـع هـذه الـمـديـنـة عـلـى الـخـريـطـة ؟
What is the temperature of Hurghada? And what is its location on the map?

10) مـَـا هـي الـكـلـمـة الـمـكـتـوبـة أسـفـل الـشـاشـة فـي الـشـريـط الأحـمـر و الـتـي تـحـِـل مـَـحــَــل الـسـاعـة ؟ و مـا مـُـفـردهـَـا ؟

Well, I was born near the city of Rasheed or Rosetta. Yes, the city where the Rosetta Stone was discovered. It is a small city on the north of Egypt where the Nile meets the Mediterranean. I am a Teacher of EFL. I got my BA in Education from Alexandria University Majoring in the English Language in 1999. I did some advanced studies and got a Professional Diploma in Education Technology in 2002. Then, in 2003 I got a Special Diploma in Education with a major in Curricula and Methodologies. I travelled for an Advanced Training Course at Strathclyde University, Glasgow, U.K. in 2006. In 2007 - 2008 I was a Fulbright Fellow - Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (FLTA Program) at Marlboro College, Vermont, USA. I have the ICDL Certificate.
