In a previous post, I presented the recipe for the Egyptian falafel. In this post, I present the recipe of the Syrian falafel. The main difference between them is that the Eyptian falafel is made mainly of beans while the Syrian falafel is made mainly of chick peas.

Ingredients:

325 grams Chick peas soaked for 24 hours

1 table spoon green coriander

1 garlic clove

1 onion

1 tea spoon salt

1 tea spoon cumin

½ tea spoon dry coriander

¼ 1 tea spoon black pepper

1/3 cup water

Preparation:

Mix all the chick peas, green coriander, garlic and onion in the food processor or mincer

Add the spices and mix together very well.

Cover the bowl and leave in the fridge for 1 hour

Add 1 tea spoon of baking powder and mix well

Cover the bowl and leave in the fridge for 1 hour

Heat the oil and fry the falafels in deep oil.
