Our epic Chinese geography lesson continues as we learn the countries, states, provinces, and cities from all across this great world of ours bit by bit. In case you’ve missed any of the previous lessons, here they are:

While we’ve already covered all of the US states and our neighbor to the north, we’ve left out 21 other countries in our part of the world!

For today’s geography lesson, we’re going to learn all of the Chinese names for the countries in North America (北美洲 – běi měi zhōu):

I was never the best geography student, as it is sometimes a confusing topic. When it comes to Greenland’s status, it doesn’t appear on a lot of lists of North American countries, but it does appear on others. Not wanting our friends in Greenland to feel left out entirely, here’s the country’s name in Chinese anyways – 格陵兰 (gé líng lán).
