Calling a Danish company for kundeservice [KUNNehservis] (customer support)? Although the (wo)man at the other end of the line probably speaks good English, (s)he might just give you that extra amount of attention if you do speak Danish! 🙂 Here are a few phrases to keep you going.

Tryk 1 for menu, tryk 2 for kundeservice. (Press 1 for menu, press 2 for customer support.)
God dag. Mit navn er Jessica Larsen. Jeg vil gerne tale med kundeservice. (Hello. I’m Jessica Larsen. I would like to talk to customer support, please?)
Et øjeblik. (Just a second.)
God dag, det er kundeservice. Hvad kan jeg hjælpe dig med? (Hello, this is customer support. How may I help you?)
Jeg ringer angående min telefon/computer. (I’m calling concerning my phone/computer.)
Kan du beskrive problemet nærmere? (Could you please describe the problem more in detail?)
Ja, du forstår, jeg kan nemlig ikke printe/modtage sms’er/komme på nettet mere. (Yes, you see, I’m unable to print/receive SMSs/go online.)
Jeg forstår. Jeg sætter dig lige over til vores IT-afdeling. Et øjeblik. (I see. I’ll transfer you to our IT department. Just a second.)
God dag, det er IT-afdelingen. Hvad er problemet? (Hello, this is the IT department. What is your problem?)
Jo, min PIN-kode er holdt op med at virke. (Well, my PIN code has stopped working.)
Ja, det var jo ikke så godt. Har du et kundenummer? (Oh, that’s really unfortunate. Have you got a customer code?)
Lad mig se… Den er tre, fire, syv, to, otte, nul nul. (Let’s see… It’s three, four, seven, two, eight, zero, zero.)
Super. Jeg ser lige om jeg finder dig i vores database. Der går lige lidt tid… (Excellent. I’ll see if I find you in our database. It will probably take some time…)
Har du fundet ud af noget? (Have you discovered anything?)
Ja, problemet skyldes en systemfejl. Jeg sørger for at du får tilsendt en ny kode. Har du en adresse? (Yes, the problem is due to a system error. I’ll make sure you’ll get a new code by mail. Have you got an address?)
Ja, den er: Kystvejen 9, 8080 Lillebæk. (Yes, it’s:)
Alletiders. Du hører fra os i løbet af nogle dage, Jessica! (Marvellous. You’ll hear from us within a few days, Jessica!)
Super. Tak for hjælpen! (Great. Thanks for the help!)
Det var så lidt! Du må have en dejlig dag! (You’re welcome! Have a lovely day!)
