The items range from a children’s toy from Mohenjodaro, which was a city in the Indus Valley Civilization era.

If you like paintings, look no further because the National Museum of New Delhi has many Mughal miniature paintings, once of which is presented below. It depicts the Battle of Panipat and was probably completed around 1598.

The National Museum has an endless array of sculptures. The one below is one example of the type of sculpture you can expect to see in this Museum. It depicts the Head of Buddha.

You probably won’t find a better collection of religious art than in the National Museum in New Delhi. This sculpture below is a depiction of Lord Shiva dancing.

If you’re interested in military memorabilia, you’ll like the National Museum’s collection of armor. The picture below is a shield that was found in Northern India and was most likely forged in the 1730s.

It’s always interesting to see how the coinage changes from different periods of Indian history. The coins below are coins from Shah Jahan’s Empire.

You won’t find any finer pieces of embroidery than in the National Museum of New Delhi. Can you just imagine how long it took to make this piece? It’s rare to find any handmade clothing today, but there once was a time when people sewed and stitched each piece of fabric together to make a piece of clothing!

There’s so much to see and new exhibitions arrive regularly, so don’t miss the chance to go the National Museum of New Delhi!

If you want to get some shopping done and see some amazing architecture at the same time, I’d recommend you visit some Indian shopping malls. Inorbit Mall is also in Mumbai and is a place that can serve all your needs. It has clothing shops, food court, a stage for musical performances, healthy cooking and living workshops, environmental education workshops for kids and much more.

The Raghuleela Mall Vashi is located in Mumbai and is four stories high. It’s air conditioned on all floors so it’s a nice place to stay to get away from the heat of summer.

Ampa Skywalk Mall is in Chennai. It has clothing stores for major brands and a huge movie theater. The food court is one of the largest that I’ve ever seen. You can get American fast food like McDonalds and Pizza Hut to Indian inspired food like Hot Chips Chaat and a place called Curry House.

As its name suggest, Hyderabad Central is located in Hyderabad. It’s a pleasure paradise because you can get your fill of movies, music, restaurants, coffee shops and even groceries. The Hyderabad Slogan is “Shop, Eat and Celebrate”, which is a very suitable slogan because the mall allows you to do all three at once.

Garuda Mall is located in Bangalore. There are five floors of stores that include jewelry stores, clothing stores, shoe stores, book stores and children’s stores. You can even get your banking done within the Mall because there is also a Citibank and HSBC within the Mall.

Last but not least is Oberon Mall in the city of Kochi in Kerala. The Oberon Mall was one of the first largest malls in Kerala and also one of the busiest. The dome of the Mall is one of the largest glass domes in India, and there is also a large indoor gaming zone that is also very popular with shoppers.
