In many languages, sometimes a word can be substituted for a group of words or phrase. These words not only concise a description but make it more interesting. In Hindi, we have many such words.  Just like the first post, let me show you some more words in Hindi which are very common and used in daily conversation.

English translations as well as the romanized spellings are provided to make your learning a little easier.

1. जिसके नीचे रेखा खींची गयी हो। (One which is underlined) – रेखांकित (Rekhaankit).

2. जिसके पार देखा जा सके। (Transparent) – पारदर्शी (Paardarshi).

3. जो सब जगह व्याप्त हो। (Omnipotent) – सर्व्यापक (Sarvayapik).

4. जो आँखों के सामने न हो। (One which is not in front of eyes) – अप्रत्यक्ष (Apratyaksh).

5. अपनी हत्या स्वयं करने वाला। (One who kills himself) – आत्मघाती (Aatmghaati).

6. साफ़ – साफ़ कहने वाला। (One who speaks explicitly) – स्पष्टवादी (Spashtvaadi).

7. मछली की तरह आँखों वाली। (One who has got eyes like a fish) – मीनाक्षी (Meenakshi).

8. जिस पर मुकदमा चल रहा हो। (One who is under trial) – अभियुक्त (Abhiyukt).

9. किसी के प्रति आमंगल की भावना। (Curse)  – अभिशाप (Abhishaap).

10. अपने गुण – दोषों पर विचार करना। (Self inspection) – आत्मविश्लेषण (Aatmvishleshadn).

11. अचरज में डालने वाला काम। (Unbelievable work or deed) – करतब (Kartab).

12. संबंधों की अत्यंत निकटता। (Closeness of a relationship) – घनिष्ठता (Ghanishdtaa).

13. निंदा करने वाला। (One who criticizes)  – निंदक (Nandak).

14. भवन के आसपास की भूमि। (Area surrounding a building) – परिसर (Parisar).

15. सत्य आचरण के प्रति – आग्रह। (Appeal for a honest behavior)  – सत्याग्रह (Satyagrah).

16. अवस्था या दशा में बराबरी की स्थिति। (Balance) – संतुलन (Santulan).

17. उत्तराधिकार में मिली सामग्री। (Things received from an inheritance) – विरासत (Viraasat).

18. अनेक विषयों में रूचि और ज्ञान रखने वाला। (Multifaceted) – बहुमुखी (Bahumukhi).

19. विरोध स्वरूप किसी वस्तु, विचार आदि से अलग होना। (Boycott) – बहिष्कार (Bahishkaar).

20. किसी बात को समझने के लिए बार बार विचार करना। (Ponder) – मनन (Manan).

21. किसी कार्य को पूरा करने के लिए स्प्रौत-साधन। (Resources) – संसाधन (Sansaadhan).

22. आँखों को अच्छा लगने वाला। (Attractive) – सुरम्य (Surmya).
