Poem in Hindi – Hum Tum Posted by on Oct 9, 2012 in Hindi Language

Some of our members loved the poems posted in our previous posts and requested to see more poems on different genre. Today I have a lovely poem for you. I have translated the poem into English so you can also understand how to read a poem in Hindi.

Hope, you will try to comprehend the poem with the above given explanation. So, let us begin.

(Hum-Tum – We and You)
(Ramanath Avasthi)

Life should not be in solitude,
little I will say, little you will.

You have accepted me,
this was a nice thing (You have done good)

From the truth, I was far away,
you brought it near to me.

Now in the flow of life,
little I will flow, little you will flow.

Whose heart is not beautiful/lovely,
for me, he/she is a stone.

I need a new speed,
how I will get it, I don’t care.

In the breath of my progress,
little you will stay, little I will stay.

Give me a big task,
it doesn’t matter, if no rest is given.

But where I will fall being tired,
hold me there.

To the falling man,
little I will get, little you will get.

World is my friend,
beauty is my song.

I have not understood till now,
what is a defeat, what is a victory.

Sadness and happiness which I will get,
little I will bear/share, little you will bear/share.
