Short Story in Hindi – King and foolish Monkey Posted by on Apr 23, 2012 in Hindi Language

Today, I will present you another fable from a very famous series of animal fables from ancient India which is called Panchatantra (पञ्चतन्त्र – Five Principles) that we discussed in previous post on short stories. What amaze me the most about these over 2 thousand year stories is, 1) human behavior and nature is well portrayed through the selected animal characters in each tale 2) the teachings are still applicable to the present day world.

I have selected an interesting story to hone your vocabulary and even the moral of story is good, which tell that there is no goodness or advantage in employing a foolish servant. One day or another, he or she will do more harm than all good service combined.

As usual, I have provided the vocabulary at the bottom for your reference. So, let’s begin the story.
