(Harivansh Rai Bachchan)

Trees may have been standing,
May they be dense, may they be big,
even a shade of single leaf,
don’t ask! don’t ask! don’t ask!
(Keep walking on) Agnipath (the path of fire)!, Agnipath!, Agnipath!

you won’t ever tired,
you won’t ever stop,
you won’t ever turn back,
take this oath! take this oath! take this oath!
(Keep walking on) Agnipath (the path of fire)!, Agnipath!, Agnipath!

This view is great,
the man is walking,
in teardrop, sweat, and blood,
soaked! soaked! soaked!
(Keep walking on) Agnipath (the path of fire)!, Agnipath!, Agnipath!

Poem in Hindi – Aabhaar

Posted on 28. Apr, 2013 by in Hindi Language

I found a very interesting poem in Hindi in which the poet has described the journey of life. The life is poetically described as a path on which we got acquaint many people. These people give us their affection and love and make us walking or they may give us pain to give us a totally different experience. Many people may leave us behind or we may ourselves have to leave them behind, but their memories are always remain in our life.

Let me show you this Hindi poem in Devanagari text along with its translation in English. Hope you will be able to understand and enjoy the poem.
If you got any question, please let me know by writing me your comments.

कविता (Kavita – Poem): आभार (Aabhaar – Gratitude)
(Shiv Mangal Singh ‘Suman’)

Thank to those travelers who gave me love on the path.

Life may becomes unstable unknowingly, and a meeting on the path somewhere,
On this limited walk, a long journey, is not easy to complete.
Happiness and sadness walks on right and left of this walk,
Thank to those travelers who gave me love on the path.

This body is dependent on the breathes, has become tired of walking,
when it has received a word or two of love, it got pep/vitality, it got relaxed.
The acquaintances of path have left behind, but the memories are still walking side by side,
Thank to those travelers who gave me love on the path.

Those, who could not walk along with me, could make the journey lonesome?
Even if I won’t walk, just like the traveler may die, but the path will exist forever.
Only those could travel on this path, who could get the taste of it,
Thank to those travelers who gave me love on the path.

How could I walk, if I haven’t got the different agitation?
How could I walk, if I would have got the mortal blows!
I offer my gratitude to those, who gave me the offering of pain.
Thank to those travelers who gave me love on the path.

(Har Subah – Every Morning)
(Kanhayaalal Nandan)

Every morning need some noon,
I am a bird, (I) need wings for flying.

I asked for the blessings, and (i) got the blessing,
I need the effect of those blessing on me.

In which, I can live in peace,
that can give me such a feeling, I need that home.

I need a life, may it full
or may it be succinct.

May I never follow them ever,
but I need an atmosphere of luxury.

When there is a problem and it get tough,
then I need a caretaker somewhere.
