Today, you are going to learn how to say “How to” in Korean.  There are a couple way to say “How to”in Korean, today you will learn the first one. The grammar point is “v.s. ㄹ/을 줄 알다/모르다”.  ㄹ is conjugating with vowel ending and 을 is conjugating with consonant ending. Please read examples below.

I know how to read Korean.  저는 한국어를 읽을 줄 알아요/jeo nun han kook eo il eul jul al a yo (읽다 is to read).

I don’t know how to read Korean. 저는 한국어를 읽을 줄 몰라요/jeo nun han kook eo lul il eul jul mol la yo (모르다 become 몰라요 with 요 form).

Do you know how to read Korean? 한국어를 읽을 줄 알아요?/ han kook eo lul il eul jul al a yo?

 

I know how to swim. 저는 수영을 할 줄 알아요/ jeo nun su young hal jul al a yo/ (수영하다 is to swim).

I don’t know how to swim. 저는 수영을 할 줄 몰라요/ jeo nun so young hal jul mol la yo.

Do you know how to swim?  수영을 할 줄 알아요?/ su young eul hal jul al a yo?

 

I know how to ride a bicycle.  저는 자전거를 탈 줄 알아요/jeo nun ja jeon geo tal jul al a yo (타다 is to ride).

I don’t know how to ride a bicycle. 저는 자전거를 탈 줄 몰라요/ jeo nun ja jeon geo lul tal jul mol la yo.

Do you know how to ride a bicycle? 자전거를 탈 줄 알아요?/ ja jeon geo lul tal jul al a yo?
