The Best Way to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? In Irish! [Interactive Lesson] Posted by on Mar 17, 2015 in Language Learning, Product Recommendations, Reference/Usage Tips

When you think of St. Patrick’s Day, you probably think of shamrocks, leprechauns, and beer, but what about the man whose name we all shout to one another?

What do you actually know about St. Patrick himself? A whole day is spent celebrating him, but many of us don’t know too many details behind this Irish holiday. Lucky for you, our Irish blogger Róislín knows a thing or two about him, and even more about the Irish language. So, before you get decked out in green, put your corned beef on to cook, or drink your first Guinness™ this St. Patrick’s Day, take a spin through our new Irish lesson “Who Was St. Patrick?” (Link below.) You’ll learn more about the man we celebrate and the holiday itself, while also picking up some Irish vocabulary to impress your friends, family, or even the bartender at your local Irish pub! Not familiar with Irish? Check out the English-Irish version, written in English with fun bits of Irish sprinkled throughout. Avidly learning Irish? You’re ready for the Irish immersion version, taught entirely in Irish! learn irish Already have an account through your local library?
