I was trying to find some quotes about Poland and here is what I found (very interesting – I also translated them into Polish):

(Tutaj (Polska), mamy więcej zimy niż lata, więcej lodu niż słońca, a wódka to nic innego jak stopiony lód. Każdy naród w ten sposób pije: Włosi i Francuzi napój złocisty z roztopionym słońcem, my mamy lód. Właśnie dlatego sunie Polak przez życie jak na łyżwach, i dlatego on się często zatacza, bo jest za ślisko. Polaka smutek jest tak gorący, że niezbędne jest schłodzenia go wódką, Smutek innych narodów, smutek innych narodów jest tak zimny, więc muszą napędzać go winem)
