Ei, gente! Hey, guys!

How is your janeiro (January) going? If you happen to be in Brazil or in any country in the Southern hemisphere, you’re probably dealing with the altas temperaturas (high temperatures) of summer. As you probably imagine, Brazil is a great lugar (place) to spend the verão (summer), with its delighfully warm tropical weather and a coastline of nearly 8000 km (or 5000 miles).

Studies claim that ano passado (last year) was o mais quente (the hottest) of all times. So we’d better be prepared for 2017! Today’s post brings together a list of summer-related words and some sample sentences to help you aprender (learn).

So get your bathing suit and grab a cold drink and let’s do this!
