Neutral Spanish

Neutral Spanish is a kind of Spanish used mostly in translations and dubbing because it reaches more than 400 million Spanish-speaking people in 21 countries. Breaking up is hard to do…

OK, let’s talk about marriages in Spanish, but not the sugarcoated version. Let’s talk about when things are not going so well, because our lives are not a textbook, are they? Here are some useful sentences to say when things are not going so well.

Algo cambió. – Something has changed.
Ella me parece tan distante. – She seems so distant.
Fue cada uno por su lado – They went their separate ways.
Ha llegado la hora de separarnos. – It’s time we split up.
Las cosas no están muy bien. – Things are not going too well.
Las cosas no van bien desde … – Things haven’t been going well since …
Me estoy cansando de él. – I’m getting tired of him.
Estoy confundido. – I’m confused.
No conseguimos entendernos. – We can’t manage to understand each other.
Ya no hacemos más lo que hacíamos antes. – We don’t do what we used to do anymore.
No sé qué hacer. – I don’t know what to do.
Parece que no vamos a volver. – It looks like we’re not getting back together.
Tal vez soy yo el que ha cambiado. – Maybe I’m the one who’s changed.
Todavía la amo. – I still love her.
Vivimos peleando. – We fight all the time.
Ya no sé cómo me siento. – I don’t know how I feel anymore.
