As Google celebrated today the 127th birthday of Naguib El-Rehani <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>\u0646\u062c\u064a\u0628<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0631\u064a\u062d\u0627\u0646\u064a<\/strong><\/span>, I thought it might be interesting to write about his legacy especially for those of you who have never heard of him. Naguib El-Rehani was a famous Egyptian actor and comedian. He is considered the Father of Comedy <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>\u0632\u0639\u064a\u0645 \u0645\u0633\u0631\u062d \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0643\u0627\u0647\u0629<\/strong><\/span> in Egypt. He finally settled in Cairo where he married a Christian Egyptian woman. They had three sons and one of them was Naguib. So, Naguib Elias El-Rehani was born on January 21, 1889 in Bab El-Sheriyah <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>\u0628\u0627\u0628<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0634\u0639\u0631\u064a\u0629<\/strong><\/span>, a popular district of Cairo. Naguib went to a French primary school in Cairo named &#8220;Les Fr\u00e8res&#8221; which enabled him to master the French language.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When Naguib finished his High School (The\u00a0baccalaur\u00e9at <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>\u0634\u0647\u0627\u062f\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0628\u0643\u0627\u0644\u0648\u0631\u064a\u0627<\/strong><\/span>), his father&#8217;s trade was not doing very well so Naguib didn&#8217;t finish his studies and searched for work to support his family. Naguib was a shy boy but also was very sarcastic like his mother. He used to make fun of the social contradictions in many situations. Although he managed to get a good job with good money in a reputable sugar company in Upper Egypt <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>\u0635\u0639\u064a\u062f<\/strong> <strong>\u0645\u0635\u0631<\/strong><\/span>, he was not satisfied and resigned. He moved back to Cairo where he started his artistic career.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zSXHh1XMjc0\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zSXHh1XMjc0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong><u>Artistic Career<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0In a famous street in Cairo, Naguib met one of his friends and agreed to start a theatre group that presents comedy sketches in night clubs. That was the start of Naguib El-Rehani. His most works was to the theater and was not videotaped that is why most of them did not reach us like his later works for the cinema. There are six films for Naguib El-Rehani that critics consider as one of the deepest ironic and sarcastic serious farces in the Arabian cinema. El-Rehani was known by many names of the characters he presented in his films like &#8220;<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>\u0643\u0634\u0643\u0634<\/strong> <strong>\u0628\u064a\u0647<\/strong><\/span> Mr. Kishkish&#8221;. He worked with the giants of the Egyptian theater and cinema. He also wrote many works some of which were made into films after his death. Naguib El-Rehani died on June 8, 1949 while he was shooting his last film &#8220;<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>\u063a\u0632\u0644<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0628\u0646\u0627\u062a<\/strong> <\/span>Ghazal El-Banat&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=J_FPLGl0Ddc\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=J_FPLGl0Ddc<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong><u>Marriage and wives<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Naguib El-Rehani married the Syrian actress and dancer <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>\u0628\u062f\u064a\u0639\u0629<\/strong> <strong>\u0645\u0635\u0627\u0628\u0646\u064a<\/strong><\/span> Badi&#8217;a Masabni. He established her cabaret; &#8220;Casino Badi&#8217;a <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>\u0643\u0627\u0632\u064a\u0646\u0648<\/strong> <strong>\u0628\u062f\u064a\u0639\u0629<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;. Their marriage was full of ups and downs till they divorced. They did not have children. El-Rehani resigned from the theater in 1946.
