She is best known in Egypt by her professional name Fayrouz \u0641\u0640\u0640\u064a\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0648\u0632<\/strong> that was chosen to her by the famous Egyptian actor Anwar Wagdi \u0623\u0646\u0640\u0640\u0648\u0631<\/strong> \u0648\u062c\u0640\u0640\u062f\u064a<\/strong> changing the first letter of her name. Fayrouz was a talented actress, dancer, singer and film entertainer.<\/p>\n

He was the first to notice her talent \u0645\u0640\u0640\u0648\u0647\u0640\u0640\u0628\u0640\u0640\u0629<\/strong>. Everyone admired her. He then took her to a competition in a famous Cairo night club. She attracted the attention of all the cinema-makers and producers. Mo’addib chose the famous actor and producer Anwar Wagdi to sign with Fayrouz. Wagdi gave her some brief training and directly introduced her to the cinema. Fayoruz was just seven years old when she appeared in her first film “Yasmine (Jasmin) \u064a\u0640\u0640\u0627\u0633\u0640\u0640\u0645\u0640\u0640\u064a\u0640\u0640\u0646<\/strong>” in 1950. The film was a success so it was followed by another “Fayrouz Ha’nim (Madam Fayrouz) \u0641\u0640\u0640\u064a\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0648\u0632<\/strong> \u0647\u0640\u0640\u0627\u0646\u0640\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0640\u0645<\/strong>” in 1951. In 1952, she starred the film “Sourat Al-Zifaf (The Wedding Photo) \u0635\u0640\u0640\u0648\u0631\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0640\u0632\u0641\u0640\u0640\u0627\u0641<\/strong>“. At the age of ten, came the most famous film for Fayrouz and Anwar Wagdi; “Dahab \u062f\u0647\u0640\u0640\u0628<\/strong>” that appeared in 1953 and became one of the Egyptian cinema classics.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In the same year, Fayrouz separated from Anwar Wagdi as her father refused to renew the contract with him. She was already famous, so her father decided to be her producer instead of Anwar Wagdi. She appeared with her own sisters Nelli \u0646\u0640\u0640\u064a\u0640\u0640\u0644\u0640\u0640\u0644\u0640\u0640\u064a<\/strong> and Mirvat \u0645\u0640\u0640\u064a\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0641\u0640\u0640\u062a<\/strong> in “Al-Hirman (The deprivation) \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0640\u062d\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0645\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0627\u0646<\/strong>” that was the first of her father’s productions. Her sister Nelli became famous afterwards and is still in the field up till now.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 For three years, Fayrouz didn’t produce any films. Then, she came back to show up in a number of dramatic works. Her works were not much as successful as her previous works, so she decided to retire at the age of sixteen. Although she produced only ten films during her short artistic career, she is still remembered as the “Miracle of the Egyptian Cinema”. In 2001, she was honored with “Lifetime Achievement Award” in Cairo Film Festival.<\/p>\n
