Along history \u0627\u0644\u062a\u0627\u0631\u064a\u062e \u00a0it hasn&#8217;t known any democratic regime \u0646\u0638\u0627\u0645 \u062f\u064a\u0645\u0642\u0631\u0627\u0637\u0649 in the sense of what modern democracy means. The welfare of the people depended mainly on the desire of its rulers which can be explained as the dictatorship of the individual \u062f\u0643\u062a\u0627\u062a\u0648\u0631\u064a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0631\u062f . <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Egyptian people \u0627\u0644\u0634\u0639\u0628 \u0627\u0644\u0645\u0635\u0631\u0649 by nature are so peaceful and tolerant with any ruling regime as long as they have a margin of decent and fair living conditions \u0623\u062d\u0648\u0627\u0644 \u0645\u0639\u064a\u0634\u064a\u0629.\u00a0Some time before\u00a0the American Civil War \u062d\u0631\u0628 \u0623\u0647\u0644\u064a\u0629 , Mohammad Ali founded Modern Egypt and started its reform \u0625\u0635\u0644\u0627\u062d\u00a0 and renaissance \u0646\u0647\u0636\u0629 . His successors followed in his footsteps. The construction of the Suez canal \u0642\u0646\u0627\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0648\u064a\u0633 was both a blessing \u0646\u0639\u0645\u0629 and a mixed blessing \u0646\u0642\u0645\u0629 . It revived the economy \u0625\u0642\u062a\u0635\u0627\u062f but led to foreign intervention \u0627\u0644\u062a\u062f\u062e\u0644 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u062c\u0646\u0628\u0649 \u00a0which ended with the British occupation \u0625\u062d\u062a\u0644\u0627\u0644 ; a thing that the Egyptians consider an offence to their pride. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The struggle \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0636\u0627\u0644 against invasion started with Orabi&#8217;s Revolution \u062b\u0648\u0631\u0629 \u0639\u0631\u0627\u0628\u0649\u00a0in 1882 and continued with the 1919 Revolution and ended with the 1952 Revolution which turned Egypt to a republic \u062c\u0645\u0647\u0648\u0631\u064a\u0629 with the first native Egyptian; Mohammad Nageeb on its head. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A year later Nassir came to power \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0644\u0637\u0629 and with his charismatic capabilities and eloquent speeches \u062e\u0637\u0627\u0628\u062a\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0628\u0644\u064a\u063a\u0629 , he inspired the people who adored him. However, one turning point of Nassir&#8217;s rule was when he asked the International Bank \u0627\u0644\u0628\u0646\u0643 \u0627\u0644\u062f\u0648\u0644\u0649 to support him build the High Dam \u0627\u0644\u0633\u062f \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0627\u0644\u0649 , but the Americans refused and as a result, he declared the Nationalization \u062a\u0623\u0645\u064a\u0645 of \u00a0the Suez Canal and became and ally \u062d\u0644\u064a\u0641 of Russia that agreed to carry out the huge project \u0645\u0634\u0631\u0648\u0639 . Nassir made so many enemies \u0623\u0639\u062f\u0627\u0621 from the west leading to foreign intervention again which ended with the Israeli invasion of Sinai \u063a\u0632\u0648 \u0633\u064a\u0646\u0627\u0621. However, he gained love and respect from inside Egypt as he died poor and clean-handed. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Sadat; the third president \u0631\u0626\u064a\u0633 ; adopted other policies. He was cunning with strategic mind and vision. He led the October war in 1973 and restored Sinai from Israel. He turned to be an ally of the west and signed the Peace Treaty \u0625\u062a\u0641\u0627\u0642\u064a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0644\u0627\u0645 with Israel. He adopted very open policies and set a constitution \u062f\u0633\u062a\u0648\u0631 and allowed some freedom \u062d\u0631\u064a\u0629 for political parties even to the extremists who assassinated him in 1981. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Mubarak was the vice president of Sadat, so he was the Fourth president. He was in power for longer than his predecessors. He managed to keep Egypt away from getting involved in cross-borders conflicts \u0635\u0631\u0627\u0639\u0627\u062a but failed to achieve any kind of political or economical reform.
