Marhaba! Today, I want to share you a recipe for Chard Lentil Soup (the Lebanese way!!) that my wife and I are prepared the other day for a number of friends. This is a really easy recipe and you can pull it off in no time! It takes us about an hour, including prepping the ingredients and cooking, to prepare it. The ingredients are readily available in almost any grocery store. It\u2019s a great and easy dish to prepare, especially during the winter season. Honestly, I can have this all year long, but still it\u2019s best served on a cold winter day. Chard Lentil Soup<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/span><\/p>\n

9 cups of water
\n1 \u00bc cup brown lentils
\n4 large potatoes
\n5 cups of sliced chard
\n1 cup of lemon juice
\n1 tablespoon salt
\n7 cloves of garlic
\n1 cup of olive oil<\/p>\n

Directions:<\/span><\/p>\n

Rinse lentils
\nCut potatoes into small cubes.
\nBring water to a boil in a large pot.
\nCook lentils in pot until they soften
\nAdd chard to lentils and cook them for about 5 minutes.
\nAdd potato cubes to lentil and chard mix.
\nCover the pot, reduce heat, and cook for about 15 minutes.
\nAdd lemon, salt, and garlic to the pot and then cook for 7 minutes.
\nAdd olive oil to the mix and cook for additional 5 minutes.<\/p>\n
