Eid al-Adha<\/strong>\u00a0(\u0639\u064a\u062f \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0636\u062d\u0649\u200e) means \u201cFestival of the Sacrifice\u201d is the second of two\u00a0Muslim holidays\u00a0celebrated worldwide each year. It honors the willingness of\u00a0 Abraham (\u0625\u0628\u0631\u0627\u0647\u064a\u0645)\u00a0to sacrifice his son, as an act of submission to\u00a0God’s command, before God then intervened, through his angel\u00a0 Gabriel (\u062c\u0628\u0631\u064a\u0644)\u00a0and informs him that his sacrifice has already been accepted.<\/h3>\n

To celebrate the occasion, Muslims sacrifice sheep or other animals on the day of the feast. The meat from the sacrificed animal is preferred to be divided into three parts. The family retains one third of the share; another third is given to relatives, friends and neighbours; and the remaining third is given to the poor and needy.<\/h3>\n

In the Islamic\u00a0lunar calendar,\u00a0Eid al-Adha<\/em>\u00a0falls on the 10th day of\u00a0Dhu al-Hijjah (\u0630\u0648 \u0627\u0644\u062d\u062c\u0629)\u00a0and lasts for four days.<\/h3>\n

Eid al-Adha begins with a\u00a0prayer (\u0635\u0644\u0627\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u064a\u062f)\u00a0followed by a sermon (\u062e\u0637\u0628\u0629<\/em>). Eid al-Adha coincides with the Muslim Pilgrimage (\u0627\u0644\u062d\u062c). Celebrations start after the descent of the pilgrims (\u0627\u0644\u062d\u062c\u0627\u062c) \u00a0performing from\u00a0Mount Arafat\u00a0(\u062c\u0628\u0644 \u0639\u0631\u0641\u0627\u062a).<\/h3>\n

In the morning of the Eid, Muslims repeat a special prayer (\u062a\u0643\u0628\u064a\u0631\u0627\u062a \u0627\u0644\u0639\u064a\u062f):<\/h3>\n
