At the gym! Amr is a pop singer and songwriter. He won many music awards \u062c\u0648\u0627\u0626\u0632<\/strong>. He set a world record as Best-Selling Middle-Eastern artist.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Amr Abdul-Basset Diab \u0639\u0645\u0631\u0648 \u0639\u0628\u062f \u0627\u0644\u0628\u0627\u0633\u0637 \u062f\u064a\u0627\u0628<\/strong> was born in Port Said \u0628\u0648\u0631\u0633\u0639\u064a\u062f<\/strong> Egypt to an artistic family. His father was an employee at the Suez Canal Corporation. \u00a0He encouraged his son from early age. Amr\u2019s passion and talent appeared when at the age of six, he sang the Egyptian national anthem \u201cBilady, Bilady \u0628\u0644\u0627\u062f\u064a<\/strong> \u0628\u0644\u0627\u062f\u0649<\/strong>\u201d in front of the governor who gave him a guitar present. Since then, Amr began to be recognized nationally and internationally. Amr holds a bachelor degree in Arabic Music from Cairo Academy of Arts in 1986.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Diab started his musical career with the album \u201cYa Tareeq \u064a\u0627 \u0637\u0631\u064a\u0642<\/strong>\u201d, which was released in 1983. He worked so hard that he used to release an album every year till 1995. In 1996, he cooperated with \u201cAlam El-Phan \u0639\u0627\u0644\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0646<\/strong>\u201d; a leading music company and released his album \u201cNour El-Ain \u0646\u0648\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u064a\u0646<\/strong>\u201d. This album was Diab\u2019s gate to international success. In 1999, he collaborated with two universal singers; Cheb Khaled \u0627\u0644\u0634\u0627\u0628 \u062e\u0627\u0644\u062f<\/strong> and Angela Dimitriou \u0623\u0646\u062c\u064a\u0644\u0627<\/strong> \u062f\u064a\u0645\u062a\u0631\u064a\u0648<\/strong> in two dueto songs. He gained a great recognition beyond the Arabic speaking world. He was very inelegant that he worked hard to create his own style. His style is often termed \u201cMediterranean Music \u0645\u0648\u0633\u064a\u0642\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0628\u062d\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u0645\u062a\u0648\u0633\u0637<\/strong>\u201d, a blend \u0645\u0632\u064a\u062c<\/strong> of western and Egyptian rhythms.
