On that note, our topic today is going to be about the different love expressions used in different Arabic dialects.<\/p>\n<p>To do that, we\u2019re using an interesting song (check video below), by the by the Lebanese singer &#8211;\u00a0 Sandra &#8211; and the song is called:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0628\u0628\u0644\u0627\u062f \u0627\u0644\u063a\u0631\u0628\u0647 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u2018Bi-blad \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0el-<\/strong>ghurbe<strong>\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In-country\u00a0\u00a0 the-foreignness (expatriation)<\/p>\n<p>which means <em>In the farway country <\/em>or<em> while I\u2019m away<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jVwjaExXeYo\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jVwjaExXeYo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The song is linguistically interesting because the singer is listing 15 different love expressions that is used by different groups of speakers, across different countries and parts of the Arab world. The song starts with a girl who lives abroad and starts singing: \u2018I met this foreign guy who seems honest and I could tell that he likes me and wants to know how to say I love you in Arabic, so I started counting and asked me to listen\u2019. The expressions are listed below based on the order in which they appear in the song, beginning from 0:58 until the end.
