There are 2 types of Arabic nouns, with sub-types of each type. The first type is proper nouns (\u0627\u0633\u0645 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0645<\/span>) which refer to a particular person, place, etc. Examples of these are (\u0645\u062d\u0645\u062f<\/span>), (\u064a\u0648\u0633\u064f\u0641<\/span>), (\u0645\u064e\u0643\u0651\u0629<\/span>), (\u0641\u0644\u0633\u0637\u064a\u0646<\/span>), etc. These nouns are definite because they are names of particular people or places; therefore, they cannot be made definite by having (\u0627\u0644<\/span>) at the beginning or a possessive noun at the end.<\/p>\n

The second type is generic nouns (\u0627\u0633\u0645 \u062c\u0646\u0633<\/span>) which is a noun that refers to a thing with no specific reference, e.g. (\u0631\u062c\u0644<\/span>) \u2018man\u2019, (\u0634\u062c\u0631\u0629<\/span>) \u2018tree\u2019, (\u062d\u0635\u0627\u0646<\/span>) \u2018horse\u2019, etc. These nouns do not refer to a particular man, tree or horse, but to any noun that belongs to the relevant class.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
