Nizar Qabbani was a Syrian Poet \u0634\u0627\u0639\u0631 <\/strong>, diplomat \u062f\u0628\u0644\u0648\u0645\u0627\u0633\u064a <\/strong>and publisher \u0646\u0627\u0634\u0631 <\/strong>. He studied law \u00a0\u0627\u0644\u0642\u0627\u0646\u0648\u0646 <\/strong>at Damascus University and worked as a diplomat in the Syrian embassies in Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, Britain, China and Spain before he retired in 1966. His poetic style combines simplicity \u0627\u0644\u0628\u0633\u0627\u0637\u0629 <\/strong>and beauty \u0627\u0644\u062c\u0645\u0627\u0644 <\/strong>. He explored the themes of love \u0627\u0644\u062d\u0628 <\/strong>, eroticism, feminism \u0645\u0646\u0627\u0635\u0631\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0645\u0631\u0623\u0629<\/strong> , religion \u0627\u0644\u062f\u064a\u0646 <\/strong>and Arab nationalism \u0627\u0644\u0642\u0648\u0645\u064a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0631\u0628\u064a\u0629<\/strong> . He was and still one of the most famous and respectable Arab Poets. Here is a beautiful poem of his, entitled “I Love You”<\/p>\n
