I do not know for sure because I do not know the etymology, i.e. origin of the word, but it is likely for a very interesting reason (\u0644\u0645\u0651\u0627) has two sisters that mean the same thing and that involve (\u0645\u0627) as well, i.e. (\u0639\u0646\u062f\u0645\u0627) and (\u062d\u064a\u0646\u0645\u0627). So, (\u0644\u0645\u0651\u0627), (\u0639\u0646\u062f\u0645\u0627) and (\u062d\u064a\u0646\u0645\u0627) mean \u2018when\u2019, and we can use them interchangeably. The three words are conditionals in Arabic. Consider the following examples:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">\u0639\u0646\u062f\u0645\u0627 \u062a\u0623\u062a\u064a \u0635\u062f\u064a\u0642\u062a\u064a\u060c \u0633\u0646\u0633\u0627\u0641\u0631 \u0645\u0639\u0627\u064b \u0625\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u064a\u0641.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">\u062d\u064a\u0646\u0645\u0627 \u062a\u0623\u062a\u064a \u0635\u062f\u064a\u0642\u062a\u064a\u060c \u0633\u0646\u0633\u0627\u0641\u0631 \u0645\u0639\u0627\u064b \u0625\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u064a\u0641.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">\u0644\u0645\u0627 \u062a\u0623\u062a\u064a \u0635\u062f\u064a\u0642\u062a\u064a\u060c \u0633\u0646\u0633\u0627\u0641\u0631 \u0645\u0639\u0627\u064b \u0625\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u064a\u0641.<\/p>\n<p>When my friend arrives, we will travel to the countryside together.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I will tell the difference between two words that involve (\u0645\u0627), but not in combination with anything. These are two words that are often confused because they look very similar, i.e. (\u0623\u0645\u0651\u0627) and (\u0625\u0645\u0651\u0627).<\/p>\n<p>(\u0623\u0645\u0651\u0627) is a linking word that joins two sentences with contrasting meaning, it means \u2018as for\u2019.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">\u0645\u0627\u062c\u062f \u0637\u0627\u0644\u0628\u060c \u0623\u0645\u0627 \u0639\u0644\u064a \u0641\u0647\u0648 \u0645\u0648\u0638\u0641.<\/p>\n<p>Maguid is a student.
