Based on the part of speech of the word with which it starts, the sentence is <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/arabic\/basic-sentence-structure-in-arabic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">verbal<\/a> <strong>\u0641\u0650\u0639\u0652\u0644\u0650\u064a\u0651\u064e\u0629<\/strong> or <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/arabic\/basic-sentence-structure-in-arabic-ii\/\">nominal<\/a> <strong>\u0627\u0650\u0633\u0652\u0645\u0650\u064a\u0651\u064e\u0629<\/strong>. The verbal must at least have a verb <strong>\u0641\u0650\u0639\u0652\u0644<\/strong> and a subject <strong>\u0641\u064e\u0627\u0639\u0650\u0644<\/strong> to be meaningful. Listed in the table above are the most common negative particles that are used in everyday communication. These are <strong>\u0645\u064e\u0627<\/strong>, <strong>\u0644\u0627<\/strong>, <strong>\u0644\u064e\u0646\u0652<\/strong>, and <strong>\u0644\u064e\u0645\u0652<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Negating the Past Tense Verb:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>To negate the past tense verb, we use the particle <strong>\u0645\u064e\u0627<\/strong>. That is, to make the sentence <strong>\u062e\u064e\u0631\u064e\u062c\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u062f\u064f<\/strong> \u2018the boy went out\u2019 negative, we put the particle <strong>\u0645\u064e\u0627<\/strong> before the verb, hence <strong>\u0645\u064e\u0627 \u062e\u064e\u0631\u064e\u062c\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u062f\u064f<\/strong> \u2018the boy did not go out.\u2019 The particle does not cause change in the form of the verb; it only negates the meaning. Like <strong>\u0645\u064e\u0627<\/strong>, the particle <strong>\u0644\u0627<\/strong> does not cause a change in the verb form. Besides, the verbal final diacritical mark becomes <em>fatHah <\/em>instead of <em>DHammah<\/em>.
