It runs from south to north dividing the Egyptian land into two halves till Cairo. The part to the south of Cairo is called the Valley <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0648\u0627\u062f\u064a<\/strong> . To the North of Cairo the Nile splits into two Branches; The Rosetta Branch <strong>\u0641\u0631\u0639<\/strong> <strong>\u0631\u0634\u064a\u062f<\/strong> \u00a0and the Damiatta Branch <strong>\u0641\u0631\u0639 \u062f\u0645\u064a\u0627\u0637<\/strong>\u00a0 forming the Nile Delta <strong>\u062f\u0644\u062a\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u064a\u0644<\/strong> . The two branches were named after the last two cities where the Nile meets the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>The Nile helped the Ancient Egyptians to settle around the Nile Valley and Delta. It is \u00a0considered an unending source of sustenance. Silt deposits that came every year with the Nile Flood <strong>\u0641\u064a\u0636\u0627\u0646<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0646\u064a\u0644<\/strong> made the surrounding land fertile <strong>\u062e\u0635\u0628\u0629<\/strong> . The ancient Egyptians cultivated <strong>\u0632\u0631\u0639\u0648\u0627<\/strong> wheat and flax and other crops that helped economic stability of the country and maintained good diplomatic relationships with other countries.<\/p>\n<p>The importance of the Nile and agriculture continued till the time of Mohammad Ali; the founder of Modern Egypt <strong>\u0645\u0624\u0633\u0633<\/strong> <strong>\u0645\u0635\u0631<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u062d\u062f\u064a\u062b\u0629<\/strong> . He started a lot of great infrastructure projects including canals, bridges and dams that controlled and stored the Nile water to achieve the best use of it in agriculture. Also, building the High Dam <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0633\u062f<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0639\u0627\u0644\u064a<\/strong> at the time of Nasser was a turning point in the history of Egypt&#8217;s agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>Agriculture represents the most important side of economy. It provides more than half of its percentage and employs more than half of Egypt&#8217;s workforce <strong>\u0642\u0648\u0629<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0639\u0645\u0644<\/strong> . The total cultivated land area is nearly 10 million acres. The changing weather and the Nile helped the land to be cultivated twice or three times during the same year.<\/p>\n<p>Egypt grows <strong>\u062a\u0632\u0631\u0639<\/strong> different kinds of crops <strong>\u0645\u062d\u0627\u0635\u064a\u0644<\/strong> which are exported or used in local industries. Among the most important crops grown in Egypt are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1)\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Cereal Crops \u0642\u0635\u0628 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0643\u0631 , <\/strong>beet sugar <strong>\u0628\u0646\u062c\u0631<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0633\u0643\u0631<\/strong> , maize<strong> \u0627\u0644\u0630\u0631\u0629 ,\u00a0<\/strong>wheat<strong> \u0627\u0644\u0642\u0645\u062d , <\/strong>beans<strong> \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0648\u0644 \/
