Wedding reception<\/strong> \u0639\u064f\u0631\u0652\u0633 \/ \u0632\u064e\u0641\u0627\u0641<\/strong><\/h2>\n

When invited to an Arabic wedding, expect it to be at a wedding hall or hotel or even a house. Wedding parties can either be mixed or segregated where men and women are in separate halls. The bride and groom have a grand entry while traditional music is played. This is called the zaffe<\/strong> \u0632\u0641\u0640\u0651\u0640\u0629<\/strong>. Family and guests then dance with the bride and groom. Depending on the bride and groom\u2019s budget, either a dinner is served or sometimes only simple pastries and a dessert. When going up to the bride and groom to congratulate them, you can say this:<\/p>\n

Also called \u2018Katb Kitab<\/strong>\u2019 \u0643\u064e\u062a\u0628 \u0643\u062a\u0627\u0628<\/strong> or Khutbah<\/strong> \u062e\u064f\u0637\u0628\u0629<\/strong> is a party where the bride<\/strong> \u0639\u064e\u0631\u0648\u0633<\/strong> and groom<\/strong> \u0639\u064e\u0631\u064a\u0633<\/strong> exchange rings. There is usually dancing, dinner and cutting of a cake as well.<\/p>\n

Henna party<\/strong> \u062d\u064e\u0641\u0644\u0629 \u062d\u0646\u0651\u0627\u0621<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This is the Arab version of a \u201cbachelorette\u201d party. An all-female event where Henna is applied to the bride\u2019s hands and feet. Women attending this event also apply Henna.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>: At both engagement and henna parties, you can say the same phrase as you would at a wedding.<\/p>\n

Graduation party<\/strong> \u00a0\u062d\u064e\u0641\u0644\u0629 \u062a\u064e\u062e\u064e\u0631\u064f\u062c<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Some students like to have a graduation party when they\u2019ve gotten a high score in their last year of Highschool or a high GPA at university.
