Not to be confused with <strong>Arabic calligraphy<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u062e\u064e\u0637 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0631\u0628\u064a<\/strong>, which is an art form meant for decorating and sacred scripture. In this post, we\u2019ll be looking at everyday Arabic handwriting by native speakers and point out some differences between printed Arabic and Arabic handwriting.<\/p>\n<p>Just like in any language, people develop their own <strong>style of writing<\/strong> <strong>\u0623\u064f\u0633\u0644\u0648\u0628 \u0643\u0650\u062a\u0627\u0628\u0629<\/strong>. But there are a few main patterns which distinguish handwritten from printed <strong>\u0645\u064e\u0637\u0628\u0648\u0639<\/strong> . Children in early grade school are encouraged to copy the printed form. They include the short vowels and dots separated as they show in printed form.<\/p>\n<h4>Ways of writing certain letters:<\/h4>\n<p>There are certain Arabic writing styles such as the \u201c<strong>Naskh<\/strong>\u201d style and the \u201c<strong>Ruq&#8217;ah<\/strong>\u201d style which are used for calligraphy but have also led to endless variations in people\u2019s handwriting. Typing on social media is another matter.
