Moving on to our fourth letter of the Arabic alphabet (\u062b<\/strong>), we will look at a number of vocabulary words beginning with \u062b<\/strong>, though there may not be many Arabic words that begin with \u062b<\/strong>, the Arabic word for \u201cculture\u201d being \u062b\u064e\u0642\u0627\u0641\u0629<\/strong> begins with \u062b<\/strong> and this post will focus on some of the major elements of \u062b\u064e\u0642\u0627\u0641\u0629<\/strong> such as customs, language, art, religion, etc. in Arabic.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s begin with looking at your basic forms of the letter \u062b<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n

Initial \u062b\u0640 \u200d<\/strong>, as in the word \u201c\u062b\u064e\u0642\u064a\u0644<\/strong>\u201d meaning \u201cheavy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Medial \u200d\u0640\u062b\u0640\u200d<\/strong>, as in the word \u201c\u0627\u062b\u0646\u064e\u064a\u0646<\/strong>\u201d meaning \u201ctwo\u201d.<\/p>\n

Final \u0640\u062b\u200e<\/strong>, as in the word \u201c\u0623\u062b\u0627\u062b<\/strong>\u201d meaning \u201cfurniture\u201d.<\/p>\n

Before looking at the following words, can you think of some words beginning with \u062b<\/strong>?<\/h3>\n

You also have \u062b\u064e\u0645\u064a\u0646 \u00a0<\/strong>to mean valuable\/precious\/expensive.<\/p>\n

Levantine Arabic:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As you probably know, Levantine Arabic presents several alterations in the pronunciation of most letters, shifting towards an easier and simpler phonetic alphabet. One example is the letter \u062b<\/strong> which is pronounced as \u062a<\/strong> or \u0633<\/strong>, depending on the word and which Levantine country. For example, the word for second<\/u> \u062b\u0627\u0646\u064a\u0629<\/strong> is pronounced \u0633\u0627\u0646\u064a\u0629<\/strong> or the word for Tuesday<\/u> \u0627\u0644\u062b\u064f\u0644\u0627\u062b\u0627\u0621<\/strong> is pronounced \u0627\u0644\u062a\u0644\u0627\u062a\u0627<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
