Moving on to our fifth letter of the Arabic alphabet (\u062d<\/strong>), we will look at various words and phrases beginning with (\u062d<\/strong>) along with more culture\/language related facts.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s begin with looking at your basic forms of the letter \u062d<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n

Initial \u062d\u0640\u200e<\/strong>, as in the word \u201c\u062d\u064e\u0632\u064a\u0646<\/strong>\u201d meaning \u201csad\u201d.<\/h3>\n

Medial \u0640\u062d\u0640\u200e \u200d<\/strong>, as in the word \u201c\u0644\u064e\u062d\u0638\u0629<\/strong>\u201d meaning \u201cmoment\u201d.<\/h3>\n

Final \u0640\u062d\u200e<\/strong>, as in the word \u201c\u0631\u0648\u062d<\/strong>\u201d meaning \u201csoul\u201d.<\/h3>\n

\u2728 This is the first letter we reach in the Arabic alphabet that can be difficult to pronounce for non-native Arabic speakers. It is very close to the sound we make when breathing on glasses to clean them. \u062d<\/strong> is pronounced with the mouth fairly wide open. Constrict the muscles in the back of your throat while letting air escape. Keep practicing with the variety of words in this post beginning with \u062d<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n

In reference to food, it is the dietary standard or (of an animal or its meat) slaughtered or prepared in the manner prescribed in the Quran.<\/h3>\n

The opposite of \u062d\u0644\u0627\u0644<\/strong> is Haram \u062d\u0631\u0627\u0645<\/strong>, which means forbidden, unlawful or prohibited by Islamic law. In the Arabic speaking world, \u062d\u0644\u0627\u0644<\/strong> and \u062d\u0631\u0627\u0645<\/strong> are terms that apply to all facets of life. Therefore, as an Arabic language learner, it is good to add these two concepts to your vocabulary.<\/h3>\n
