Today, I have a short video clip from “Arab Idol”<\/strong>, an adapted version from the original show – American Idol<\/em>. The clip comprises of short four conversation where each contestant \u0643\u0644 \u0645\u062a\u0633\u0627\u0628\u0642<\/strong> introduces him\/herself before the audition \u062a\u062c\u0631\u0628\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u062f\u0627\u0621<\/strong>.\u00a0 You can use this clip to practice and brush up on your spoken Arabic skills regarding common greetings and the basic phrases usually used when meeting someone, you already know or for the first time. The post consists of two parts. This first part focuses on the first two conversation and the next one will focus on the other two.<\/p>\n

The variety of Arabic used in the clip is a mixture of a few Arabic dialects as each judge \u0643\u0644 \u062d\u064e\u0643\u064e\u0645<\/strong> is from a different Arab country (Lebanon <\/strong>\u00a0\u0644\u0628\u0646\u0627\u0646<\/strong>, Bahrain<\/strong> \u0627\u0644\u0628\u062d\u0631\u064a\u0646 <\/strong>and Egypt <\/strong>\u0645\u0635\u0631) <\/strong>and they also tend to accommodate to that of the contestant.<\/p>\n
