An Opinion<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n

An opinion<\/strong> in Standard Arabic is: \u0631\u064e\u0623\u0652\u064a\u0652 Ra?y<\/strong>. The dual<\/u> form of it is: \u0631\u064e\u0623\u0652\u064a\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0646\u0652<\/strong> and the plural<\/u> form is: \u0622\u0631\u064e\u0627\u0621\u0652<\/strong><\/p>\n

In English, an opinion is called a point of view<\/strong>, which is: \u0648\u0650\u062c\u0652\u0647\u064e\u0629 \u0646\u064e\u0638\u064e\u0631 wijhat NaZar<\/strong> (or \u0646\u064e\u0638\u064e\u0631 \u0648\u0650\u062c\u0652\u0647\u0650\u0629 wijhit NaZar in Levantine Arabic) in Standard Arabic and \u00a0\u0648\u0650\u062c\u0652\u0647\u064e\u0627\u062a\u0652<\/strong> \u0646\u064e\u0638\u064e\u0631<\/strong> Wijhaat<\/strong> NaZar<\/strong> is the plural form of it.<\/p>\n

1- Expressions to express\/state one\u2019s opinion<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>We\u2019ll start with looking at common phrases that one can use to express\/state their opinion.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A- Common structures:<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The most obvious way to express one\u2019s opinion is to use the word \u201copinion\u201d \u0631\u0623\u064a<\/strong> as in the first expression we have on the list here><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In my opinion (that)\u00a0 \u0623\u0646\u0627 \u0628\u0652\u0631\u064e\u0623\u0652\u064a\u0650 (\u0625\u0646\u0651\u064f\u0648<\/u>)<\/u> <<<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The phrase \u0628\u0631\u0623\u064a<\/strong>\u00a0 can be followed by the filler \u0625\u0646\u0648<\/strong> \u00a0but it\u2019s often optional and can be left out.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Example<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u0623\u0646\u0627 \u0628\u0631\u0623\u064a<\/u><\/strong> \u0625\u0646\u0648 \u0627\u0644\u0645\u0647\u0631\u062c\u0627\u0646 \u0643\u062a\u064a\u0631 \u0631\u0627\u0626\u0639<\/p>\n

In my opinion<\/strong>, the festival is really wonderful.<\/p>\n

To me\u00a0 \u0628\u0650\u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u0650\u0633\u0652\u0628\u064e\u0629 \u0625\u0650\u0644\u0650\u064a <<\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The other expression is \u0628\u0650\u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u0650\u0633\u0652\u0628\u064e\u0629<\/strong> \u0625\u0650\u0644\u0650\u064a<\/strong> or <\/strong>what can literally translate as \u2018according to me\u2019<\/strong> is an alternative way to say \u2018think\/ in my opinion.<\/p>\n

To me<\/u><\/strong>\/ I think<\/strong>, the whole decision was not necessary<\/p>\n

I believe\/ I think (that) (\u0623\u0646\u0627 (\u0628\u0652\u0638\u0650\u0646\u0651\u0652 \u0625\u0646\u0651\u064f\u0648<\/span> <<<\/strong><\/p>\n

I feel (that) (\u0623\u0646\u0627<\/strong> (\u0628\u0652\u062d\u0650\u0633\u0652\u0651<\/strong> \u0625\u0646\u0651\u064f\u0648<\/u><\/strong> <<<\/strong><\/p>\n

The above list of verbs is used to begin stating an opinion. These verbs are often followed by the filler \u0625\u0646\u0648<\/strong> that but sometimes it can be left out – as mentioned above.<\/p>\n

In addition to the expressions just mentioned, I now move on to list some expressions that one can use to agree with \u00a0\u064a\u062a\u0641\u0642 \u0645\u0639 <\/strong>or disagree with \u064a\u062e\u062a\u0644\u0641 \u0645\u0639<\/strong> another:<\/p>\n
