Questions \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0633\u0652\u0626\u0650\u0644\u0629<\/strong> are straightforward in Arabic. There is no special form of the verb used with questions. In this post, we\u2019ll look at the way to form questions in Arabic in both MSA \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064f\u063a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u064e\u0631\u064e\u0628\u064a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0641\u064f\u0635\u062d\u0649 <\/strong>and Levantine \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u0652\u062c\u064e\u0629\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0634\u064e\u0651\u0627\u0645\u0650\u064a\u064e\u0651\u0629 <\/strong>using the appropriate question words. I have provided examples for practice and audio to help with pronunciation.<\/p>\n

First, here are some words you should know in Arabic:<\/p>\n

question: \u0633\u064f\u0624\u0627\u0644<\/strong><\/p>\n

answer: \u0625\u0650\u062c\u0627\u0628\u0629<\/strong><\/p>\n

question mark: \u0639\u064e\u0644\u0627\u0645\u0629 \u0627\u0650\u0633\u0652\u062a\u0650\u0641\u0652\u0647\u0627\u0645<\/strong><\/p>\n

to ask: \u0633\u064e\u0623\u0644\u064e<\/strong><\/p>\n

to answer: \u0623\u062c\u0627\u0628\u064e<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s begin with simple questions that can be formed by adding a question mark to the end of a sentence or by putting the word \u0647\u064e\u0644<\/strong> or less often \u0623<\/strong> in front of it.<\/p>\n

\u0647\u0630\u0627 \u0642\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0645\u064a\u061f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u0647\u0644 \u0647\u0630\u0627 \u0642\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0645\u064a\u061f<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u0623\u0647\u0630\u0627 \u0642\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0645\u064a\u061f<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Levantine, \u0647\u0630\u0627<\/strong> is said as \u0647\u062f\u0627<\/strong> and the \u0642<\/strong> in \u0642\u0644\u0645\u064a<\/strong> is pronounced either as a glottal stop (\u0621<\/strong>) or a \u201cg\u201d sound as in the word \u201cgood\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u0647\u0644<\/strong> is not used in Levantine and neither is \u0623<\/strong> at the beginning to form a question which leaves us with using the same sentence with a question mark in the end. \u0647\u062f\u0627 \u0642\u0644\u0645\u064a\u061f<\/strong><\/p>\n
