I chose this <\/span>poem \u0642\u064e\u0635\u064a\u062f\u0629 <\/b>in particular because I found it had enough familiar vocabulary for the intermediate Arabic language learner. We are going to learn how to analyze this <\/span>\u0642\u064e\u0635\u064a\u062f\u0629 <\/b>in Arabic in terms of identifying the tone, message, symbols, etc.\u00a0<\/span>For part one, we will first learn some general poetry vocabulary to help us talk about the poem in Arabic. We\u2019ll also learn a bit about <\/span>\u062e\u0644\u0641\u064a\u0629 \u0645\u062d\u0645\u0648\u062f \u062f\u0631\u0648\u064a\u0634 Mahmoud Darwish\u2019s background<\/b> which will help us understand his <\/span>poetry \u0634\u0650\u0639\u0652\u0631\u0647 <\/b>. Just like the travelers, we also get a sudden feeling that there is something we no longer like that suddenly becomes meaningless and worthless, and we ask about the meaning of life. On the bus, the travelers asked the driver to drop them off after the last stop, they had a bit of hope, searching for the meaning of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is a possible political interpretation of the first part of the poem (from beginning to \u201cwithout saying goodbye\u201d) that revolves around <\/span>\u0627\u0644\u0635\u0631\u0627\u0639 \u0627\u0644\u0625\u0633\u0631\u0627\u0626\u064a\u0644\u064a – \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0644\u0633\u0637\u064a\u0646\u064a the Israeli\u2013Palestinian conflict.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The poem begins with presenting the “bus” as a symbol of the poet and travelers’ journey in life. The first traveler does not like “the radio, nor the morning newspapers\u201d which only contain pain, disasters and uprisings, and from here comes the desire of the traveler to cry. Then the driver answers him, who perhaps symbolizes fate: \u201cWait until you get to the station, then cry alone all you want\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is, no one cares about your crying, and the Palestinian issue has become a regular piece of news in the media which no one cares about.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mothers usually die before their children, but due to the conflict, children are dying before their mothers in the battles far from their families without saying goodbye.<\/span><\/p>\n
