These characteristics made it one of the richest seas in natural salts that are used in the production of cosmetics and a destination for visitors looking for natural healing as well. The Bahrain Canal project was one of the last minute solutions to save this sea, which is supposed to bring together Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian Authority to one goal, which is to revive the Dead Sea.<\/p>\n

The project that was agreed upon years ago was to construct a canal with a length of approximately 1,800 km to connect the Dead Sea with the Red Sea. This project was supposed to restore the ecological balance in the Dead Sea to normal and establish desalination plants for the benefit of the three parties in an area where water scarcity is one of the underlying causes of a future water war. The project is now in the past due to the conflict of interests between these parties and the political differences between them. Which means firing a bullet of mercy at a sea that is actually already dead.<\/p>\n
