The goal is for each player to pass the other player\u2019s stones from the starting point or where they are at the start of the game through the columns on the board until they are able to pass all their stones to their own section. Then each player begins to remove the fifteen stones from his house before the opponent in order to win. There are three common ways to play backgammon:<\/p>\n

\u201cshesh besh\u201d, \u201clocked up\u201d, and \u201c31\u201d. The principle of play is the same in all ways, but there are slight differences in the laws between these methods. We will learn about it in detail in the next part.<\/p>\n
