Those patriotic brave\u00a0 and loyal men decided that it was time for them to defend the Arab \u00a0nation and support the resistance <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0642\u0627\u0648\u0645\u0629<\/strong><\/span> in Palestine. Then, the Egyptian government gave orders to the army to engage in the 1948 war in Palestine. It was an experience that greatly affected Nasser. He was very sad at the lack of organization and the corruption of the Arab leaders. After the truce in 1949, Nasser came back to Egypt with the idea of revolution <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u062b\u0648\u0631\u0629<\/strong><\/span> in his mind. So, the Free Officers secretly worked very hard to spread the idea of the revolution against the palace <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0627\u0644\u0642\u0635\u0631<\/strong><\/span> among other officers in the army. The Movement had to take action on 23 July, 1952 and the revolution broke out and was a success and was widely backed by the Egyptian people. King Farouk was forced to leaveEgypt and Mohammad Naguib was appointed first president of the new republic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In April 1954, Nasser was appointed as Prime Minister <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0631\u0626\u064a\u0633<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0648\u0632\u0631\u0627\u0621<\/strong><\/span> and in October of the same year an unsuccessful assassination <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0627\u063a\u062a\u064a\u0627\u0644<\/strong><\/span> attempt targeted Nasser while he was giving a speech in Alexandria. The Muslim Brotherhood group were accused and it was proven that Naguib had contacts with them, so Naguib was forced to leave office and Nasser was elected president in June 1956. In 1958, Nasser became president of the United Arab Republic <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0627\u0644\u062c\u0645\u0647\u0648\u0631\u064a\u0629<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0639\u0631\u0628\u064a\u0629<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0627\u0644\u0645\u062a\u062d\u062f\u0629<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>after the union between Egypt and Syria. That union was broken later in September, 1961 as a result of the conspiracy <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0645\u0624\u0627\u0645\u0631\u0629<\/strong><\/span> arranged by members of the Syrian army. However, Nasser remained president of the United Arab Republic until his departure <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0631\u062d\u064a\u0644<\/strong><\/span> on 28 September, 1970. Nasserwas a great supporter <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u0645\u0624\u064a\u062f<\/span> \/ <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u0645\u0633\u0627\u0646\u062f<\/span><\/strong> of those leaders. He was also, much more concerned with the modernization <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u062a\u062d\u062f\u064a\u062b<\/strong><\/span> of Egypt. He sought to firmly establish Egypt as the leader of the Arab world with the purpose of merging Islamic and socialist thinking to satisfy the will of the general populace. He gave a lot of care to Al-Azhar Mosque and university. He allowed gender-mixed schools, amended divorce laws <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0642\u0648\u0627\u0646\u064a\u0646<\/strong><\/span> and merged religious courts <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0645\u062d\u0627\u0643\u0645<\/strong><\/span> with civil ones. Nasser nationalized the Suez Canal and built the High Dam inAswan.Nasser had a lot of reform ideas and had a very ambitious vision of the Arab area. He was working on all fields and directions at the same time. Nasser was also concerned with the modernization of the Egyptian army; a thing which conflicted with the inabilities of Abdel-Hakeem Amer who was Nasser&#8217;s most trusted friend and head of the Army. As a leader of the Arab world, Nasser was pushed into the conflict withIsrael by all the Arab countries who were denying the legitimacy of the Jewish State. Thus, he was convinced that war was inevitable and he expressed that a lot in all his speeches and decisions which provokedIsrael and led to the Six-Day War in 1967.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Nasser gave a speech to the Egyptian people in which he declared his resignation and confessed all the responsibility <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u0645\u0633\u0626\u0648\u0644\u064a\u0629<\/strong><\/span> of the country&#8217;s defeat. Immediately, mass demonstrations all over Egypt rejected his resignation. In 1968, Nasser commenced the War of Attrition <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u062d\u0631\u0628<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0627\u0633\u062a\u0646\u0632\u0627\u0641<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0ordering his forces to begin harassing Israeli positions east of the newly-blockaded Suez Canal.
