\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Last time, we were introduced to the Wh<\/strong>-question particles; (Interrogative Adverbs). Today we will be introduced to the second type; the Yes\/No<\/strong>-question particles. In Arabic, there are two ways of asking a question that needs a yes\/no-answer.\u00a0 These two particles are\u00a0\u00a0\u0647\u064e\u0644\u0652<\/strong><\/span> \/hal\/ and the Hamza \u0623<\/strong><\/span> \/aa\/ which are both equal to all the auxiliary verbs used in English to ask yes\/no-questions.\u00a0These question particles should always start the question sentence. Here is how they are used:<\/p>\n

1)<\/strong> Use of\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u0647\u064e\u0640\u0644\u0652<\/span> \/hal\/ <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0This particle is used in the affirmative question sentence to ask about its content. The answer should be with \u0646\u0639\u0645<\/strong> \u00a0\/na’am\/ in the affirmative or with \u0644\u0627<\/strong> \u00a0\/la\/ or \u0643\u0644\u0627<\/strong> \/kal’la\/ in the negative. The verb after\u00a0 \u0644\u0627<\/strong> \/la\/ \u00a0or \u0643\u0644\u0627<\/strong> \/kal’la\/ should be in the negative case.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A) <\/span><\/strong>The Hamza can be used to ask about the content of the affirmative sentence. Here,<\/p>\n

it\u00a0\u00a0is\u00a0equal\u00a0to \u0647\u0644\u00a0<\/strong>and you can answer the same way as with \u0647\u0644<\/strong> using \u00a0\u0646\u0639\u0645<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0or \u0644\u0627<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/p>\n
