\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Today, I present a love poem by the great Egyptian poet; Farouk Goweedah<\/strong> \u0641\u0627\u0631\u0648\u0642<\/strong> \u062c\u0648\u064a\u062f\u0629<\/strong><\/span> . He\u00a0\u00a0is a contemporary poet who has written a lot of poetry in different topics. Goweedah is famous all over the Arab World. His words are very delicate and his style is so simple and passionate. The poem is in Fus’ha and is called, “\u0641\u064a<\/strong> \u0639\u064a\u0646\u064a\u0643<\/strong> \u0639\u0646\u0648\u0627\u0646\u064a<\/strong><\/span>” which literally means “In your eyes is my address<\/em><\/strong>“. However, I translated the title as “I Live in Your Eyes<\/em><\/strong> ..” The poem is a conversation between the woman beloved and her man. The woman fears that her man will forget her and he promises her an eternal love.<\/p>\n

I Live ..\u00a0in Your Eyes ..<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

She said: My Love .. You will forget me <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u0648\u062a\u0646\u0633\u0649 \u0623\u0646\u0646\u064a \u064a\u0648\u0645\u0627 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>And you will forget that I, one day<\/span><\/em>,<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Have granted you my heart\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

And you will adore another wave <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>And you will leave my beaches warmth<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u0648\u062a\u062c\u0644\u0633 \u0645\u062b\u0644\u0645\u0627 \u0643\u0646\u0627 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>And you will sit, as we used to<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u0644\u062a\u0633\u0645\u0639 \u0628\u0639\u0636 \u0623\u0644\u062d\u0627\u0646\u064a <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>To listen to some of my tones <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u0648\u0644\u0627 \u062a\u0639\u0646\u064a\u0643 \u0623\u062d\u0632\u0627\u0646\u064a <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>And you will not care for my sorrows<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u0648\u064a\u0633\u0642\u0637 \u0643\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0646\u0649 \u0627\u0633\u0645\u064a <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>And my name will fall as hope<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u0648\u0633\u0648\u0641 \u064a\u062a\u0648\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0648\u0627\u0646\u064a <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And my address will get lost<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u062a\u0631\u0649.. \u0633\u062a\u0642\u0648\u0644 \u064a\u0627 \u0639\u0645\u0631\u064a <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

So, my Love, will you say <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u0628\u0623\u0646\u0643 \u0643\u0646\u062a \u062a\u0647\u0648\u0627\u0646\u064a\u061f<\/span>! <\/strong><\/p>\n

That you (once) loved me!? <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

On which all my sorrows have calmed down <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

I Love You, like an aura that tells<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>My songs to people’s silence <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>I<\/span> Love You ..\u00a0 like ecstasy that runs<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u0648\u062a\u0634\u0639\u0644 \u0646\u0627\u0631 \u0628\u0631\u0643\u0627\u0646\u064a <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And fires my volcano<\/span><\/em>. <\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I Love You .. you, Hope<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

That like morning light meets me<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Love has killed many lovers<\/span><\/em>, <\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

And your love has given life to me<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And if I were to choose a home<\/span><\/em>,<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would say; my home is your Love<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My heart would forget me.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
