It is usually preceded by a week of praying and special ceremonies, e.g. Palm Sunday (\u0623\u062d\u062f \u0627\u0644\u0632\u0639\u0641), Good Friday (\u0627\u0644\u062c\u0645\u0639\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u062d\u0632\u064a\u0646\u0629), Ash Wednesday (\u0623\u0631\u0628\u0639\u0627\u0621 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u0645\u0627\u062f), Thursday (\u062e\u0645\u064a\u0633 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0647\u062f), Easter Saturday (\u0633\u0628\u062a \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0648\u0631) and Easter Sunday (\u0639\u064a\u062f\u0627\u0644\u0642\u064a\u0627\u0645\u0629).<\/p>\n<p>A good greeting for Christians on Easter would<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">\u0639\u064a\u062f \u0633\u0639\u064a\u062f\u0648\u0642\u064a\u0627\u0645\u0629 \u0645\u062c\u064a\u062f\u0629!<\/p>\n<p>Easter is also an ancient Egyptian occasion. It has been celebrated for more 5000 years, and it is still celebrated today. In Arabic it is called (\u0634\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0633\u064a\u0645), and it celebrates harvest time and the beginning of spring. People celebrate (\u0634\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0633\u064a\u0645) outdoors by going out to parks or to the countryside. In the morning, children color eggs and eat them for breakfast. For lunch, people usually have salted fish (\u0627\u0644\u0633\u0645\u0643 \u0627\u0644\u0645\u0645\u0644\u062d \/ \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0633\u064a\u062e) and leafy green vegetables. At night, there are special concerts, and they are usually broadcast live on radio and television.<\/p>\n<p>A general Egyptian greeting for special occasions like Easter is:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">\u0643\u0644 \u0633\u0646\u0629 \u0648\u0627\u0646\u062a \u0637\u064a\u0628!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Many people now question the way Easter has been celebrated , especially in relation to eating salted fish which carry some health concerns.
