There are different particles used for negation in Arabic. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

(<\/span>\u0644\u0627<\/span><\/strong>) is used to negate present tense verbs. It must be used immediately before the verb, e.g. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u0644\u0627 \u0623\u0630\u0647\u0628 \u0625\u0644\u0649 \u0639\u0645\u0644\u064a \u0628\u0627\u0644\u0633\u064a\u0627\u0631\u0629.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI do not go to my work by car.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u0623\u0635\u062f\u0642\u0627\u0626\u064a \u0644\u0627 \u064a\u062d\u0628\u0648\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0641\u0631 \u0645\u0639\u064a. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy friends do not like travelling with me.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\n

(<\/span>\u0645\u0627<\/span><\/strong>) is used to negate past tense verbs, and it must be directly followed by the past tense verb, e.g.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u0645\u0627 \u0642\u0631\u0623\u062a \u0647\u0630\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0643\u062a\u0627\u0628.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nominal sentences are negated using (<\/span>\u0644\u064a\u0633<\/span><\/strong>) which has to be conjugated in the appropriate way according to the subject of the nominal sentence, e.g. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u0644\u064a\u0633 \u0647\u0630\u0627 \u0643\u062a\u0627\u0628\u064a. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not my book.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
