If you’ve never used Twitter before, maybe it’s time for you to open a new account—in Arabic<\/a><\/strong>!<\/p>\n Gulf News<\/a><\/strong> has revealed today some news that is likely to cheer up all of you who love Arabic in general, and who enjoy to learn Arabic<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in particular:<\/p>\n After the phenomenal growth of\u00a0Facebook in Arabic<\/a><\/strong>, and barely weeks into the launch that offers full Arabic functionality, Arabic-speaking users have seen a surge in the number of Arabic tweets<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n \n According to the cited Gulf News article, Arabic is:<\/p>\n “The eighth most used language on <\/em>\u062a\u0648\u064a\u0640\u0640\u0640\u0640\u0640\u0640\u0640\u062a\u0631<\/strong> (Twitter), and this rank is expected to climb higher since the recent launch of the micro-blogging platform’s Arabic interface<\/em>.”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Semiocast<\/strong>, the Paris-based company that provides data intelligence and research on social media, said that:<\/p>\n “Arabic grew fastest compared to other languages.” <\/em><\/p>\n In a study released a few months ago, it stated that:<\/p>\n “The growth of Spanish<\/strong> <\/a>and Dutch<\/a><\/strong> looked feeble compared to Arabic<\/strong><\/em>.”<\/p>\n \n
