\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Abdel Aziz Al-Kusi was a great Egyptian psychologist<\/strong> \u0639\u0640\u0627\u0644\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0645<\/strong> \u0646\u0640\u0642\u0640\u0640\u0633<\/strong> and is considered the Dean of \u00a0the Arabic Psychology<\/strong> \u0639\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0645\u0640\u064a\u0640\u0640\u062f \u0639\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0644\u0640\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0646\u0640\u0641\u0640\u0640\u0633 \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0639\u0640\u0631\u0628\u0640\u0649<\/strong> . He got the highest honours in Egypt and represented his country at UNESCO. He also was a member of so many specialised national councils and was the founder \u0645\u0640\u064f\u0640\u0624\u0633\u0640\u0651\u0640\u0640\u0633<\/strong> of new departments at higher education institutions.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Al-Kusi was born in 1906 inKous, a small town in Upper Egyptto a deep-rooted family with a very good reputation \u0633\u0640\u064f\u0640\u0645\u0640\u0652\u0640\u0639\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0629<\/strong> . He memorized the Holy Quran when he was young . He finished his basic education in Asuit and then high school. After that, he moved to Cairo and joined the High School of Teachers \u0645\u0640\u062f\u0631\u0633\u0640\u0629<\/strong> \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0645\u0640\u064f\u0640\u0639\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0644\u0640\u0645\u0640\u064a\u0640\u0646<\/strong> \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0639\u0640\u064f\u0640\u0644\u0640\u064a\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0627<\/strong> . Al-Kusi achievd the highest rank among his colleagues so that the ministry of education sent him to U.K. for higher studies. He got his first degree in Psychology from the University of Birmingham, U.K. in 1932, then a Master Degree and then a PhD in 1934. In his doctoral dissertation, he discovered what is called the Factor of Space Perception<\/strong> \u0639\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0627\u0645\u0640\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0644 \u0625\u062f\u0631\u0627\u0643 \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0645\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0643\u0640\u0640\u0627\u0646<\/strong> . His research was published by theUniversity ofEdinburgh in 1934 and was the base for the efforts of so many other great psychologists and psychological tests.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Al-Kusi built a theory \u0646\u0640\u0638\u0640\u0631\u064a\u0640\u0640\u0629<\/strong> on forming the mental abilities that is based on three dimensions;<\/p>\n

1) The basic content \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0645\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0636\u0640\u0645\u0640\u064f\u0640\u0640\u0648\u0646<\/strong> \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0633\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0627\u0633\u0640\u0640\u0649<\/strong> ,<\/p>\n

2) The function \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0648\u0638\u0640\u064a\u0640\u0641\u0640\u0640\u0629<\/strong><\/p>\n

3) The shape \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0634\u0640\u0640\u0643\u0640\u0640\u0644<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

Al-Kusi named his theory the ‘Three Dimensions Theory<\/strong> \u0646\u0640\u0638\u0640\u0640\u0631\u064a\u0640\u0640\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0628\u0640\u0639\u0640\u0640\u0627\u062f \u0627\u0644\u0640\u062b\u0640\u0640\u0644\u0627\u062b\u0640\u0640\u0629<\/strong> ‘. He presented his theory inParis in a conference that was attended by some famous psychologists like Guilford and Thurstone who acknowledged his work.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Al-Kusi was the first Arab to use the term of\u00a0 “Mental Health \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0635\u0640\u062d\u0640\u0640\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0646\u0640\u0641\u0640\u0633\u0640\u0640\u064a\u0640\u0640\u0629<\/strong> ” and wrote a book called “Foundations of Mental Health \u0623\u0633\u0640\u064f\u0640\u0633 \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0635\u0640\u062d\u0640\u0640\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0640\u0646\u0640\u0641\u0640\u0633\u0640\u0640\u064a\u0640\u0640\u0640\u0629<\/strong> ” that is still considered a principal resource. Al-Kusi died on 27th<\/sup> April 1992.<\/p>\n
