\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In a previous post, we were introduced to Inna and Sisters<\/a>. We have known that they are particles \u062d\u0640\u0640\u064f\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0648\u0641<\/strong> . One sister of Inna is Anna. The difference between the two sisters is the first letter which is the Hamza ( \u0621<\/strong> ) . The Hamza in the first word \u0625\u0646\u0651\u064e<\/strong> has a Kasrah \u0643\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0633\u0640\u0640\u0652\u0640\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0629<\/strong> underneath while the Hamza in the second word \u0623\u0646\u0651\u064e<\/strong> has a Fat’ha above it. There is no difference in meaning between the two particles but the difference is in the usage. When should we use Inna? and when should we use Anna? That is the topic of our post today.<\/p>\n

* Use Inna \u0625\u0646\u0651\u064e with a Kasrah in these cases :\u00a0 <\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

1) At the beginning of speech (to start a sentence)<\/p>\n

Ex<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u2013 \u0625\u0646\u0651\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0639\u062f\u0644\u064e \u0623\u0633\u0627\u0633\u064f \u0627\u0644\u062d\u0643\u0645\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0635\u0627\u0644\u062d\u0650<\/strong><\/p>\n

=\u00a0 Indeed (Inna) justice is the base of good rule.<\/p>\n

2) After the verb ( to say \u064a\u0642\u0648\u0644<\/strong> ) to refer to anything said in a direct sentence.<\/p>\n

Ex<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u2013\u00a0 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u062c\u0644\u064f \u0642\u0627\u0644 : “\u0625\u0646\u0651\u064e \u0645\u0635\u0644\u062d\u0629\u064e \u0627\u0644\u062c\u0645\u0627\u0639\u0629\u0650 \u0641\u0648\u0642 \u0645\u0635\u0644\u062d\u0629\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0631\u062f\u0650 .”<\/strong><\/p>\n

– The man said, “(Inna), the good of the whole is above the good of the individual.”<\/p>\n

3) After the Oath \u0627\u0644\u0642\u0640\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0633\u0640\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0645<\/strong> at the start of the oath answer sentence<\/p>\n

Ex<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u2013\u00a0 \u0648 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u0650 \u0625\u0646\u0651\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0625\u064a\u0645\u0627\u0646\u064e<\/strong> \u0642\u0648\u0629\u064c<\/strong>\u00a0 = By Allah, (Inna) faith is strength.<\/p>\n

4) At the start of the adverbial clause \u062c\u0645\u0644\u0629<\/strong> \u0627\u0644\u062d\u0627\u0644<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ex<\/strong>.\u00a0 –\u00a0 \u0631\u0623\u064a\u0640\u0640\u062a\u0640\u0640\u0640\u064f\u0640\u0640\u0647\u064f \u0648 \u0625\u0646\u0640\u0640\u0651\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0647\u064f \u064a\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0643\u0640\u0640\u0628\u064f<\/strong> \u0627\u0644\u0637\u0627\u0626\u0631\u0629\u064e<\/strong><\/p>\n

= I saw him (wa Innahu) getting on the plane.<\/p>\n

5) At the beginning of the Sila Sentence \u062c\u0640\u0645\u0640\u0640\u0644\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0635\u0640\u0640\u0651\u0650\u0640\u0640\u0644\u0629<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ex<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u2013 \u0623\u0639\u0637\u064a\u062a\u0647 \u0645\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u0643\u062a\u0628\u0650 \u0645\u0627 \u0625\u0646\u0651\u064e \u0641\u0648\u0627\u0626\u062f\u0647\u064f \u0644\u0627 \u062a\u0646\u062a\u0647\u064a<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0= I gave him books whose benefits never end.<\/p>\n

* Use Anna \u0623\u0646\u0651\u064e with a Fat’ha in this case : \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Anna is used with a Fat’ha if it and its two agents; (Ism and Khabar), can be replaced by a Masdar.<\/p>\n

Ex<\/strong>. 1-\u00a0\u00a0 \u0633\u0640\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0651\u064e\u0646\u0640\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0640\u064a \u0623\u0646\u0640\u0640\u0651\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0643\u064e \u0646\u0640\u0640\u062c\u0640\u0640\u062d\u0640\u0640\u062a\u064e<\/strong><\/p>\n

=\u00a0 I was pleased that you (Anna’ka) succeeded.<\/p>\n

2- \u00a0\u00a0\u0633\u0640\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0651\u064e\u0646\u0640\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0640\u064a<\/strong> \u0646\u0640\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u062c\u0640\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0627\u062d\u0640\u0640\u064f\u0640\u0640\u0643<\/strong> \u064e<\/p>\n

= I was pleased with your success.<\/p>\n

The above examples 1 & 2 are equal in meaning;<\/p>\n

Anna ( \u0623\u0646\u0651\u064e<\/strong> ) + Kaaf ( \u0643<\/strong> \u064e ) of Address + the verb succeeded ( \u0646\u062c\u062d\u062a\u064e<\/strong> )<\/p>\n

= the noun\/Masdar; success ( \u0646\u062c\u0627\u062d\u064f<\/strong> ) + Kaaf ( \u0643<\/strong> \u064e ) of Address.<\/p>\n

However, in example 1, the whole Anna sentence; (Anna + its Ism + Its Khabar), is parsed or analyzed as a subject \u0641\u0640\u0640\u0627\u0639\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0640\u0644<\/strong> of the verb \u0633\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0651\u064e\u0646\u0640\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0640\u064a<\/strong>\u00a0 and if the Masdar is used as in example 2, it is also parsed or analyzed as a subject \u0641\u0640\u0640\u0627\u0639\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0640\u0644<\/strong> of the verb \u0633\u0640\u064e\u0640\u0640\u0631\u0651\u064e\u0646\u0640\u0640\u0650\u0640\u0640\u064a<\/strong> . To sum up, if the Masdar is used, it is parsed or analyzed according to its position in the sentence.<\/p>\n
