Although it is very easy to form the specification for this set of numbers, gender agreement can be a challenging aspect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">When we talk about 11 to 99 things, we use the singular form of the noun after the verb, and it must be accusative. Since the specification is indefinite, it takes tanween.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" dir=\"rtl\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0644\u064a \u0639\u0634\u0631\u0648\u0646 \u0635\u062f\u064a\u0642\u0627\u064b.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u201cI have twenty friends.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" dir=\"rtl\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0642\u0631\u0623\u062a \u062e\u0645\u0633\u0629 \u0639\u0634\u0631 \u0643\u062a\u0627\u0628\u0627\u064b.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u201cI read fifteen books.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Gender agreement in this case can be confusing, but it has clear rules to follow:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">11 and 12:<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> both parts of the number should agree with the specification in gender, e.g.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" dir=\"rtl\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0647\u0646\u0627\u0643 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0623\u062d\u062f \u0639\u0634\u0631 \u0648\u0644\u062f\u0627\u064b \u0648\u0625\u062d\u062f\u0649 \u0639\u0634\u0631\u0629 \u0628\u0646\u062a\u0627\u064b.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u201cThere are eleven boys and eleven girls.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" dir=\"rtl\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0647\u0646\u0627\u0643 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0627\u062b\u0646\u0627 \u0639\u0634\u0631 \u0648\u0644\u062f\u0627\u064b \u0648\u0627\u062b\u0646\u062a\u0627 \u0639\u0634\u0631\u0629 \u0628\u0646\u062a\u0627\u064b.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u201cThere are twelve boys and twelve girls.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">13 to 19:<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> the first part of the number should be of the opposite gender of the specification while the second part (<\/span><span dir=\"rtl\" style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0639\u0634\u0631<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">) should have the same gender, e.g.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" dir=\"rtl\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0647\u0646\u0627\u0643 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u062e\u0645\u0633\u0629 \u0639\u0634\u0631 \u0648\u0644\u062f\u0627\u064b \u0648\u062e\u0645\u0633 \u0639\u0634\u0631\u0629 \u0628\u0646\u062a\u0627\u064b.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u201cThere are fifteen boys and fifteen girls.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"rtl\" style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Tens<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">: they do not have gender, so it is the same form all the time. They take different endings according to the cases though, i.e. (<\/span><span dir=\"rtl\" style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0648\u0646<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">) for nominative and (<\/span><span dir=\"rtl\" style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u064a\u0646<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">) for accusative and genitive, e.g. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" dir=\"rtl\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0641\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0635\u0641 \u0639\u0634\u0631\u0648\u0646 \u0628\u0646\u062a\u0627\u064b.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u201cIn the classroom, there are twenty girls.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" dir=\"rtl\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u0631\u0623\u064a\u062a \u0639\u0634\u0631\u064a\u0646 \u0648\u0644\u062f\u0627\u064b.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u201cI saw twenty boys.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Numbers with tens and units,<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> like twenty one, fifty three, etc. have 2 parts.
