He is considered \u00a0to be the Godfather of the realistic cinema <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0633\u064a\u0646\u0645\u0627<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0648\u0627\u0642\u0639\u064a\u0629<\/strong> in Egypt. Many of his films are considered Egyptian classics. Seventeen films of those that he directed were adapted from Arabic novels and short stories. His film &#8216;Bidayah wa Nihayah&#8217; <strong>\u0628\u062f\u0627\u064a\u0629 \u0648 \u0646\u0647\u0627\u064a\u0629<\/strong> (Start and end) (1960) was the first film adapted from a novel by the Nobel Prize winner Naguib Mahfouz <strong>\u0646\u062c\u064a\u0628<\/strong> <strong>\u0645\u062d\u0641\u0648\u0638<\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Abo-Seif was born on may, 10<sup>th<\/sup> 1915 in a small village in Beni Suef <strong>\u0628\u0646\u064a<\/strong> <strong>\u0633\u0648\u064a\u0641<\/strong> . He worked in a textile company in Mahallah. He was interested in artistic journalism and read a lot about the cinema, music, logic and psychology. In Mahallah, he met the famous director <strong>\u0645\u062e\u0631\u062c<\/strong> Niyazi Mustafa who helped him to move to Misr Studio <strong>\u0623\u0633\u062a\u0648\u062f\u064a\u0648<\/strong> <strong>\u0645\u0635\u0631<\/strong> in 1936 where he worked as chairman <strong>\u0631\u0626\u064a\u0633<\/strong> of the Montage Department <strong>\u0642\u0633\u0645<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0648\u0646\u062a\u0627\u062c<\/strong> for ten years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In 1939, Abo-Seif traveled to Franceto study the art of the cinema but he returned quickly because of the Second World War <strong>\u0627\u0644\u062d\u0631\u0628 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0627\u0644\u0645\u064a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u062b\u0627\u0646\u064a\u0629<\/strong> . In 1946, Abo-Seif directed his first novel film <strong>\u0647\u0648 \u062f\u0627\u0626\u0645\u0627\u064b \u0641\u064a \u0642\u0644\u0628\u064a<\/strong> (He is always in my heart) which is cited from the movie <strong>\u062c\u0633\u0631<\/strong> <strong>\u0648\u0627\u062a\u0631\u0644\u0648<\/strong> (Waterloo Bridge). After that he traveled to Italy and returned to Egypt in 1950. he was greatly affected by the realism <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0648\u0627\u0642\u0639\u064a\u0629<\/strong> in the Italian cinema and insisted on moving the experience to the Egyptian cinema. He was also affected by the Russian cinema and participated in writing the scenario to all of his films. Abo-Seif was appointed as the first chairman to the first cinema company in the public sector <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0642\u0637\u0627\u0639<\/strong> <strong>\u0627\u0644\u0639\u0627\u0645\u00a0<\/strong> from 1961 to 1965. He died on June 22<sup>nd<\/sup> 1996.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Salah Abo-Seif presented more than 40 films to the Egyptian cinema and won so many prizes.
