The active participle (<\/span>\u0627\u0633\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0627\u0639\u0650\u0644<\/span>) is a very common and a very important form in Arabic. It is used a lot in both Standard and Colloquial Arabic, but it is used more extensively in colloquial dialects. It refers to the doer of the action of to one involved in the action, e.g. the active participle of the verb \u2018work\u2019 has the meaning of \u2018worker\u2019 and\/or \u2018working\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Verbs that are made up of 3 letters have the active participle following the pattern (<\/span>\u0641\u0627\u0639\u0650\u0644<\/span>). The following table gives some examples:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
